and this is how to break a fast. After a fast you may be feeling pretty good, much higher
energy, clearer thinking. And you may feel like your body is ready to jump right back
into its normal eating patterns, but it's definitely not. Your digestive system has
been taking a bit of a rest and it needs to be very gently reintroduced to solid food.
So after a fast start out with clear soups, vegetable broths and maybe some simple fruit
juices, preferably freshly squeezed. A lot of people like to use orange juice as they're
coming off of a fast. Make sure to keep your water intake still pretty high, and avoid
foods that are harder to digest. So you definitely wouldn't want to start - break a fast with
meats or pizza or anything like that. And that is how you break a fast.
