So once you've decided upon a layout that you like, (so I've chosen this centered layout)
I'm going to carefully transcribe these guidelines onto a good sheet of paper, now I can do it
by means of just arrangements, like this, and then I might carefully mark; usually I
don't mark the ascender and descender spaces, I mark just the ex-height of the lower case,
so I've made little pencil marks. Now, we haven't talked about this, but in practicing,
we don't always pay attention to the type of pencil marks we're making, but for working
on good paper, I would make my marks as lightly and finely as possible, because ultimately
those lines are going to be erased. So here I'm translating my mock up to good paper,
and I'm going to be able then- I'm going to finish this, to letter my text right on the
good paper, in a way that has been forcing and planned, and I would hope will result
in something that's beautiful that you would like to have on your wall.
