Hello! I'm Olly and welcome to my series of Fix Up Look Sharp on Videojug and today, I'm
going to be showing you how to make these babies.

All you need is a pair of shorts, denim shorts and some scissors, a pen and some fabric of
your choice and a glue gun.
Grab your shorts and aim of the game is that we're going to get this whole panel here the
fabric of your choice. So I personally think the brighter the fabric, the better. The more
crazy the pattern, the better. So I'm just going to fold my jeans over and I'm going
to draw on my fabric that leg, that part of the leg.
So you just quickly draw a line down the side, follow it down all the along to the end of
the jean and then round the crotch area and along the leg.
It doesn't have to be perfect because once we get the shape, we can then, you know, cut
bits and pieces off here and there, whatever we think that needs to be sort of more perfect.
That makes sense.
And then we're going to cut that out and we're going to see which bits need to be cut more
to make it perfect. So chop, chop, chop, chop, chop, just like that.
There we go, up.
Don't worry about rough lines, going to straighten that later. Just keep chopping all the way
along. Get rid of the excess material and then you'll see it's starting to fill in that
side of the jeans so we can then use the leg to sort of, to make it a bit more even.
Fold over the excess material and then we're going to cut down there as well. Chop, chop,
chop, chop, chop. And we should be left with a piece of material that fits in that leg
and we've cut out the pocket as well. So it actually looks like part of the jeans. And
we're going to do exactly the same with the pocket on the back, cut out the material so
you're going to end up with a perfect pocket shape on the back.
So when you're happy that your material perfectly fits your jean then it's ready to get the
glue gun out. Now, be really careful with these things because I've burnt myself with
it and because it's glue, it doesn't come off and it burns your finger and it's painful,
really painful.
So be warned, this is painful stuff so you know, let's be careful.
So we're going to go round the seam very carefully. Just a very steady line around the seam, all
the way around the pocket, all the way down the jeans, all the way down here and I'm just
going to go underneath the little flap up of the jean, I don't know the technical words
for it but that will sort of make it look like a part of the shorts.
Just go all the way around up, and I'm just going to do a big cross in the middle, help
it stick all over. And then be really careful when you do this because you can feel the
heat through the material, so you just got to be very careful. I can feel it now.
If you are worried you can get your mom or your dad to help you, whom will probably be
very careful.
And just flatten that down like that. And already you can see, it's beginning to look
like part of the jeans. I'm very pleased with that actually.
So I'm going to flip it over and to keep it even, I'm going to do the opposite side so
there's my pocket and I'm going to do the pocket here. Again please be very careful
with the glue gun. Go all the way down the pocket and the seam just like that with a
big cross in the middle to make sure your fabric stays stuck down. And then again.
So there you have it, just transformed an old pair of shorts to something really summery
and fun.
What, oh you want some sun glasses to go with this? Yeah. Don't you worry! I've got you
back. I'm going to be embellishing these bad boys and if you want to see more of any of
the creative stuff I've ben doing don't forget to subscribe to Videojug Beauty.
I''ll see you next week. Bye!
