Hi, I'm Dr. Malaki. I'm a board certified OB/GYN physician at McFarland Clinic. I see
my role as a like medical advisor to the patient, so they come to me with the problem. They
tell me about their symptoms, and we do an exam and we get additional studies. And then,
I present them with what possible, what could be the underlying cause for their problem
and what could be the so-called "differential diagnosis" or what other possibilities and
how we can get closer to a diagnosis. And then, we also discuss various treatment options
and, you know, try to educate the patient about this area that might not be completely
familiar to the patient. Based on the information provided, then my hope is that patient can
make an informed decision. We provide a full compliment of general OB/GYN services, and
for OB, it includes your normal pregnancies but also high-risk pregnancies and consultation
with the sub-specialists. And for the gynecological services, we provide care for basic infertility
workup and basic infertility treatment. We do evaluation and treatment for irregular
and heavy periods, and also services for contraceptive counseling, including general counseling about
birth control pills, IUDs, and tubal sterilization, or tubal ligation. We also provide care for
patients with chronic pelvic pain, including endometriosis. And for our older population,
we provide care for pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. Additional gynecological
services we provide include urine cancers and ovarian cancer, and, again, we consult
with the sub-specialists in rare cases of GYN cancers.
