iran has ended its most sensitive nuclear operations as part of its preliminary deal
with world powers. tehran's move which should lessen the likelihood
of war wins the country some much-needed relief from crippling economic sanctions.
the international atomic energy agency confirmed on monday that iran has taken the first step
to implement the interim deal. it says iran has suspended production of uranium
with a concentration of above 5 percent and had begun diluting its stockpile of 20 percent
enriched uranium. iran can now benefit from the easing of sanction
s worth up to seven billion u.s. dollars... including recovering frozen oil revenues worth
some four-point-two billion dollars. the interim deal was struck in geneva in november
last year... after years of talks between iran and the five un security council members
and germany.
