In a statement released in August, a member of the association said, "What [Snowden] has
given us is our best chance ... to rescue ourselves from out-of-control surveillance
that shifts all practical power to the executive branch and its intelligence agencies." (Via
The whistleblowers who gave Snowden the award say he seems to be in good spirits.
"I think he's doing remarkably well under the circumstances in which he came here."
"I thought he looked very well."

that what he did was right." (Via RT)
Snowden's father, Lon, agrees his son is comfortable in Russia, telling media he doesn't believe
Edward has any intention of coming home.
"He flew in from Toronto. When he walked out, he said he had come to learn more about his
son's circumstances, health and legal options."

Thursday Lon flew into the Moscow Airport, the same airport where his son was holed up
