In this video, I`m going to show to You, how to fold an origami traditional snail.
This origami is quite simple or low intermediate to fold.
To make this model, I use origami paper. This paper has 15 cm by 15 cm.
Copy paper works very well, too. We start by folding the square-base. So we just fold first diagonals.
Then we turn the paper over, and make folds in half.
Let`s make the square-base, so the diagonal folds are mountain-folds and in half folds
are valley-folds.
Okay, let´s start making the bases. So we have here this one flap, we just open it like that, and squash.
Make the same on all the flaps.
Then model shut look like this. So we have on the left side four flaps, and on the right side four flaps, too.
Now we start to divide the flaps in parts.
This flap here, we have to divide it into two parts.
Like that. Now let`s fold the side of the paper to the middle line one more time.
Then we make something diffence. We divide this flap here into three parts.
So we just fold this side to the middle of the flap. Here isn`t reference points!
Here is the half, so fold one more time to the middle line.
So just fold like this to make same sized areas. Fold one more time to the middle.
Finally the flap shut look like this. Repeat the sime on the this side.
We have here one flap in front, two flaps on the sides and one flap behind.
Let`s squash these antennas for the snail.
We open here the 2nd flap and make here inside-reverse fold.
