With the HP DreamScreen you can view your photos and play a slideshow. You can also
listen to your digital music and watch your videos. Just load your favorite
media content. I'm going to show you how to do that now.
Please note that your HP DreamScreen may not exactly match the one we're
showing here, and the software screens might be a little different. Start in the
Main Menu screen. Let's load digital photos first.
Insert a media card here.
You can see the media card formats that it accepts.
I've got an SD card from my digital camera. Insert it into the slot.
Select the Photo application by using the arrows to highlight it and press OK.
You can view your photos directly from your memory card. Make sure the memory
card tab is selected at the top and press OK.
We're using an SD card, so our tab says SD card. Yours may say something
else.
We have folders on our memory card so we need to open the folders to view the
photos. Press the down arrow to access the folders.
Navigate to the folder you want to open and press OK. I'm choosing Photos.
And here are my photos.
You can also copy the photos onto the device itself. You can copy one photo or
all the photos. Highlight a photo,
Press Option on the remote control,
and press the arrow key to highlight Copy or Copy All.
Your screen might have other options. Press OK to copy the photos to the frame.
The HP DreamScreen supports the digital picture formats JPEG, PNG and BMP.
And here are my photos on the device.
Now let's load some music.
Press and hold the back button to get to the Main Menu.
Navigate to the Music icon and press OK.
I've got some mp3 digital music files on this thumbdrive. Insert it into the
USB port.
Now you'll see a tab that says USB. Select that.
You can copy a song or the whole folder.
I'm going to select a song.
Just like we did with photos, press Option on the remote control,
then select Copy or Copy All. Again, your options may be different. I'm selecting
Copy. Press OK.
The HP DreamScreen supports digital music formats MP3,
WMA, AAC, and WAV.
Now that the music is on the device, let's play a song.
Select a song and press OK.
To change the volume or to mute, use the remote control audio buttons,
or on the frame controls touch the Audio icon
and use the left to right or up/down arrows.
To pause and play the song, press the OK button.
Now let's add a slideshow with our music.
Just press the slideshow button on the remote control.
Copying videos is the same process as photos and music.
Press and hold the Back button to get to the Main Menu.
Scroll over and select the Video icon.
Then you would insert a USB thumbdrive or memory card and follow the same
process we showed you for photos and music.
The HP DreamScreen supports video formats MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, and H.264
Have fun.
