My name's Garrett.
I served in the Marine Corps in Iraq and Afghanistan.
If you feel like you need help and you're not getting it, pay
attention to people who are around you who
haven't been to combat.
Those are the people that can recognize those things in you
that you can't recognize.
They can kind of see from an outside perspective.
So if you remotely feel like you need help, search it out.
See what kind of help you think you need.
You may have problems that are deeper than you're even aware
of, which was my situation.
And when you get to the point where life becomes
unmanageable, you realize that that would have been very
preventable if you would have gone out and taken the reins
in securing your own help.
Nobody else is going to do it for you.
It's just like while you're in the military.
You need to man up, put that pack on your back, and go
after being a productive member of society.
And it's up to you to do that.
