Hello and welcome to 0612's Find of the Week!
I thought I'd officially start this series with a ***. Literally.
Our find of the week is the Powder Toy - A simple Physics simulation game, offering a number of different materials
you can mix and mash up to create various explosions and other spectacular effects.
Right off the bat, grab a material from the bottom left and stroke across the screen
and watch the material cascade down the screen
r maybe draw a bit of a container to hold some of the liquid - This is perfectly intuitive!
Delving deeper you can mess with things like air pressure, or control and monitor air flow with the aid of fans.
This game falls under the category of a "falling sand game"
But this beats many of its counterparts for the beautiful visuals in the flames, lava and neutrons!
What puts Powder Toy a cut above the rest is also in the introduction of electricity
and materials that generate, or respond to it
Which allows the creation of complex systems that respond differently to different user input
or create self-sustaining machines like nuclear reactors.
Well, there's your find of the week!
Now, my inner geek sometimes finds stuff that not everyone can take
so how much of a geek do you have to be to use powder toy?
Powder Toy's Geek Rating on 0612's Geek Scale is...
ne star! Powder Toy is so intuitive, as long as you know what the mouse does, you're good to go!
That's all there is for this episode of 0612's Find of the Week
