On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Laura Banford and I'm going to show you how to make shrimp
egg rolls and with sesame noodles. Before we finish our peanut sauce, we have to get
our noodles boiling. I have about 2 quarts of boiling water here. I'm going to snap these
in half. They can boil while we finish our sauce. There's a few more things that we need
to do with that. These boil for about 8 minutes. Back to our sauce. We want to add the juice
of half a lime.
That one doesn't feel too juicy, so I'm going to make it a whole lime. You never know how
citrus is going to be until you really start to open it up. You can't really tell from
the outside. Now we have some ginger. I'm just going to take a small piece of ginger.
You have to peel off the outside. Let me get this out of the way a little bit because you
don't want any skin.
Ginger is very fibrous. The fibers go lengthwise. They're tough fibers, so you want to cut through
them. Make some very thin slices. I'm actually going to cut those up a little bit.
Add those to our mixture. Get a clove of garlic.
Mince the garlic so it distributes. Meanwhile, our noodles are boiling away. Bring our bowl
back here and add our garlic. I'm going to whisk that around a little bit more. That
looks really nice like it's going to coat the noodles really well. Let's throw in some
sesame seeds. We're going to top it with sesame seeds and scallions at the end also. When
we come back, we're going to assemble our Asian sesame noodles.
