Platinum Freight Management presents; An introduction to Sea Freight Customs Clearance, Full Container Load.
If you wish to import goods to Australia from overseas, the first thing that you will need to consider
is getting a fumigation certificate if any of your goods or packaging are made from wood.
Once the container has been packed by your supplier, it will be delivered to the wharf
and placed onboard a ship. Platinum Freight can help you get your goods customs cleared on their way to australia.
All they need is the following paperwork from you to continue:
The commercial invoice for the goods, a copy of the bill of lading, a Packing list,
a completed FCL packing declaration and Authorisation form which is available for download from the Platinum Freight website,
photos of the goods, as well as that fumigation certificate.
Simply email these documents over to info@platinumfreight.com.au and they can get busy pre-clearing the goods
through customs and quarantine.
Once the container arrives in Australia and has been offloaded from the boat, your goods
may be subject to inspection, especially if the container is being delivered to a non-metropolitan area.
To avoid wharf storage fees, Platinum Freight can collect the container and deliver to you
for unpacking. Then once it's empty, they can return the container back to the wharf to save you the hassle.
Platinum Freight. Australia Wide Customs Clearance, there is simply no higher level of service.
