Hello People.
This is mainly for showing you how to build a semi-compact TBM engine, that I was asked to show how to build.
First off (given that you have a mining head)
you will want to expose the redstone tube frames to attach other frames to.
You will want support frames like so
It is not required to be this size it can be made alot smaller, but (2)blocks high is all you will need.
and if your mining head is large than this one you do not need it reaching the sides of it either.
Now time for the Framemotor
you can place it anywhere but you will find it easier to move it farther from mininghead.
If you look at the motor the arrow is facing the right. the arrow HAS to face the mining head(or to the left in this case)
These tube frames are used to get the batteries TO and FROM the batbox. PLEASE take note of the covers I place down.
The (hole) of the retreiver needs to be facing up.
You will want (2) enderchests labeled diffrent colours, one for batteries, one for mined items.
Here you will be placing the chunkloader (railcraft anchor cart) *note these need enderpearls to power them*
Make sure the arrow on them follow the direction your tbm is facing.
Personal anchors are not advised, they only load chunks if you first walk next to them first. Anchor carts load on startup of client/server.
Next you will want a Timer, and red-wiring, and redstone jacketed cable.
This timer will tell the filter to pull batteries from enderchest, AND pulse the mining head.
You will want EMPTY batteries in the retreiver.
And you want FULL batteries in the filter.
For this part you will want a Timer, repeater (redpower2 not vanilla), and red-wiring.
along (if you have it WRCBE) wireless receiver.
You will want the repeater to be set to the line right here (5 punches).
In a second you will see that I put the framemotor arrow in the wrong direction.
You can put it to a lower number but 5seconds is plenty of time.
Wireless redstone is great for controlling the tbm from your base.
This is how to build a battery refiller.
It is basically the opposite of the tbm setup.
This can be very easily compacted, but this is tutorial so I thought "nah".
You only really need like 4-5 solars but the bigger your tbm, the more batteries per (x)minute it will take to run it it.
As before one enderchest is for batteries for THIS reason. wireless battery exchanger.
Retreiver and filter require redstone pulse (10 seconds is about the time it takes to fill a battery) give or take.
If you would like you can continue to watch this charge some batteries and the tbm eat some diamonds. but the tutorial is done here.
Thanks for watching!
