Hi! I'm Jennifer Cail on behalf of Expert Village, I am going to show you how to make
this delicious spicy pumpkin bread. Now that our liquid ingredients are added together
it is time to start adding the dry ones. You can see this is very very runny with little
chunks of butter in there but not to worry. It is going to thicken up rapidly. You can
put the dry ingredients for the most part at the same time but you want to do it slowly
so that you can incorporate them into the dry ingredients without ending up with lumps
of either one. This is why you really want to be doing this by hands. If you are using
a stand mixer or even a hand mixer, you are going to have the ingredients flying around
quite a bit. This way you can slowly incorporate the wet and dry together without spilling,
splashing or having big puffs of flour going everywhere. You can see that it is coming
into a nice batter for our bread and it smells great too. See the nice deep color from the
spices and from the pumpkin; a nice orange color. It doesn't have to be super smooth.
You don't want to get every lump out. You just want to get most of the ingredients incorporated
just like this and then we are ready for our next step.
