The onset of digital technologies transfers captured footage into the hard disc and social networks.
As a result, even model portfolios get printed quite rarely,
let alone "masterpieces" of amateurs.
Usually you are shown a vast number of photos like "I'm on the background of the banner",
"on the background of the sea", "on the background of the oak" etc.
Only one out of those hundreds photos is being printed.
For professional photographers this figure is even lesser
In smaller communities photo printing dies not so fast.
In Bilogorodka village near Kyiv such services are still in demand.
Although the sale volumes are twice lower in comparison to the urban ones,
the demand is consistent - says local photo studio owner Alex Polubash.
Such strong interest he explains by lower penetration of digital technologies.
And boasts of his clienteles.
Why do volumes remained the same?
Mainly because of established clients.
Those are the people who already started to shoot and who have families with children.
They constantly taking photos and spend around 100-150 UAH monthly for printing.
In order not to become a victim of new technologies,
the owners of photo studios constantly seeking for an additional opportunities to earn.
Even today the main income is received not from the printing.
So without extra services it's extremely difficult to survive - affirms Sergiy Voloshyn.
Modern photo studio has changed.
Now a minilab for printing can be found somewhere by the side,
definitely not in the centre. Now it is support for business.
The main - are design services, frame and album assortment.
Also in demand - printing on cups and T-shirts; puzzles and collages.
Businessman says - you still can earn on photo business, as long as your service list expands.
