Happening countries like Vietnam,
where the income level is half
that of China. A rapidly growing economy
from 1985 right through now
to 2012: Can you see a crisis?
Yes, there has been a crisis in Vietnam.
Yes, we inflation spike
at 24 percent. Yes, all kinds of
things have happened, but the fact is, the economy has continued to grow.
So Intel has just built a one billion
dollar factory in Vietnam; that requires people
to travel. And so we look at Russia likewise,
1998, 1999 right through, yes okay, we flicked a little in 2009
but we're back. So altogether,
a different picture, perhaps, than the one we read about
and a picture as I say, which will be dominated
in the future by Asia which alone will represent
over 40 percent of the entire global economy,
on purchasing power parity terms, within the next 3
years.
