Hi! My name is Lauren and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm here to show you how to achieve
various styles for using regular braids. I'm going to be going over various braids that
you can possibly do with your hair in order to create a style, go to a casual event if
you need to without having to spend the money where you actually have to go and get the
braid done. The hand coordination and manipulation of the hair can be a little challenging in
the beginning, but don't fret because you will get the hang of it. Once you do, you
can make your everyday styles look and appear more intricate, more interesting, and you'll
be able to dress yourself up on a daily basis. To start, I'm just going to begin with the
basic braid. The manipulation of your actual hands. When you're actually doing the basic
braid, you're just going to pull the hair back to a low pony tail, take 2 fingers like
you're giving the peace sign, split the hair. You can move them. Just kind of separate them.
You're going to start with the one side. All you're simply going to do for the basic braid
is over lay them. Go from side to side. Each time that you do it, you're going to actually
pick up the piece of hair and just bring it over the existing piece. The basic braid rather
unappreciated. Many people think that it's not as dressy. I will go into a little bit
more intricate braids and a little bit of fancier braids that you can do for your more
than casual affair.
