Hi, I’m Gary Walker
from Ai Squared’s technical support department
and today’s tip
is Dual Monitor feature.
This feature allows you to extend your desktop onto two monitors.
Or, you can have a Clone View,
which gives you two identical magnified views.
Or a Primary with 1x view,
which allows you to have one magnified
and one unmagnified screen.
Okay, in order to enable Dual monitor feature in ZoomText
you want to make sure your display settings are set correctly.
To do that,
right click on your desktop,
go down to "Screen Resolution" which will take you into your display settings.
And you'll notice the two monitors.
You want to make sure both monitors' resolution is set at the same resolution.
So you'll click on each monitor, and check, as you'll see they are both set at 1680x1050.
And we'll click on #1, and its also set at the same resolution.
That's how you'll want to make sure they're setup.
And also
on your second monitor, you want to make sure that
"Extend these displays onto each monitor" is enabled.
Once you have this setup,
you can go into the ZoomText User Interface,
click on Type,
Dual Monitor,
Enable.
And you'll notice
this is the Span View
which will span the
Magnified view across both screens.
It reduces
scrolling
from left to right
and
You can just scroll up and down.
You can go back in
Change it to
Clone View,
which gives you the exact same
view on want both monitors.
This is good if you want to share your desktop
teacher / student type
Relationship.
And the
Primary with 1x
gives you
a magnified view
and an unmagnified view.
This is good if you're doing presentations
and you want to have
your laptop
magnified
and your display unmagnified for the user.
Thank you that was our tip for this week!
