Hey guys, welcome to the March monthly update here at AmericanMuscle.com. Of course, Justin
here. Now as you can see I still have my thermal on which means it's cold as you know what
up in the northeast. But don't worry, spring is right around the corner meaning it's almost
time to wake those cars up from hibernation for race and show season.
Alright before we get into this month's happenings and all of our new products, just want to
remind you guys to follow us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, and of course click
on that button below to subscribe to our YouTube channel where you can check out our massive
collection of Mustang vids, some of our product overviews, and of course, our ever growing
stable of project cars.
Speaking of project cars, if you guys follow our YouTube channel, then you probably saw
the action and near disaster with the '06 GT Project Grabber Boost and the '14 GT Project
Coyote down at the drag strip. If you guys haven't seen that, go ahead and catch yourselves
up by clicking on the link below for the big showdown.
Now the whole idea of this thing was to have a best of 3 track run between both project
cars. Our car, Project Coyote went 11.9 its first pass on the day, and then decided to
eat the rear radial on the second pass, pretty much ending things for us. Now Dave and his
team with the boosted 3 valves barely edged out my team with our all motor bolt-on '14
here with his 11.6 to our 11.9. I saw a lot of people on YouTube were actually asking;
what exactly happened with the car to make it cut a tire and nearly kiss the wall?
Well, the 8.8 rears in these cars actually have the axle to press into the pumpkin, and
what can happen is, when you're out launching *** the track or even on the street with
a sticky tire, sometimes those axle tubes can actually rotate within the pumpkin, pushing
the one tire forward, causing it to hit the fender, and in our case, cutting our tire
at the 60 foot mark.
It's definitely a rare occurrence, and it has happened on both highly modified cars
and even stock cars with a sticky tire, it's just all a luck of the draw kind of thing.
Now do I think the cars faster than an 11.9 as it sits right now? Absolutely, in fact,
we're even going to take this thing back down to the track in the springtime and see if
we can beat that 11.6 just for bragging rights. And if it doesn't, well, guess what? Who cares,
because that's what Stage 4 is all about. In fact, we want to hear from you guys on
what you would do with Project Coyote for Stage 4, so comment below on our Facebook
page, or on our YouTube channel and let us know what you think.
Kicking off this month's new products we have the introduction of the SR Performance oil
separator available for the '05-'10 GT along with the '11-'14 Coyote GT's here. In fact,
we actually installed this part in Stage 1 of Project Grabber Boost and Stage 1 of Project
Coyote here. The separator is offered in a very stealthy anodized black finish and will
be slightly easier on your wallet compared to other aftermarket separators out there.
Definitely a good product to have in your 3 or 4 valve Mustang, and be sure to check
that out by clicking on the link below.
Speaking of the new products, I have to admit, I'm very excited to let this next one out
of the bag. Now you guys all know MMD of course and their killer styling products available
for the later generation Mustangs, and of course this bad-*** project car we put together
with them. They are about to release for the very first time, a few sets of wheels into
their awesome line-up.
The first of which they're calling the 551-C. This wheel, the 551-C, is a concave, modern,
5 spoke design available in both 19 and 20 inch diameters and it will be offered in 3
different color choices; silver, a matte black, and a charcoal option. Just like any other
wheel here at AM, you do have the luxury of grabbing the wheels by themselves and taking
care of the tires yourself. Or you can let us handle the mounting and balancing by picking
up one of our pre-built tire and wheel combinations. Keep in mind; both options do ship for free,
as always at AM.
Now if you do want to learn more about these MMD wheels, just go ahead and click on the
link below, they do pre-order March 2nd, that's tomorrow, and they should be shipping soon
after that. Keep in mind guys, this is the first of a few different designs coming from
MMD, so be sure to stay tuned for more soon.
We just wrapped up filming a few additional Bolt-On Build-Ups here at AmericanMuscle.com
with three very special cars. We had a 2008, a 2012, and a 2014 GT500 which is just absolutely
my favorite car right now. That thing is a beast and looked killer in the ruby red paint.
These Bolt-On Build Ups, for the folks who haven't seen them before are basically small
stages, or packs which are designed to improve different areas of your ride such as handling,
appearance, and performance.
This time around though with the Shelby's we decided to skip the handling, skip the
appearance, and jump right into the performance. So we assembled 3 packs for each generation;
the '07-'09 cars, the 2010 through 2012 cars, and of course the 2013 and '14 GT500's. Considering
these cars are all supercharged, you can definitely count on my favorite thing, more boost thanks
to an upper pulley swap or two in addition to other performance parts that really jack
the power up in these cars. In fact, we were able to get that 2014 Shelby I told you guys
about above 700 horsepower and 720 pound feet at the rear wheels by the time the Stage 3
Powerpack was done. If you want to check these out, you're gonna have to click on the link
below to view all 3 sets of powerpacks, and while you're there, be sure to check out,
some of our other Bolt-On Build-Ups for the V6 and GT Mustangs.
As for the 2015 news, well, for once, it's actually been pretty quiet around here. We
have seen the latest video of this camouflaged 2015 GT350 or Cobra running around the streets
of LA with its mean sounding quad tip exhaust. You guys can click on the link below to check
out the video I'm talking about. Now there's still a ton of mystery surrounding this thing.
For one, we don't even know the name, really, at this point. Still we're leaning towards
the GT350, but we wouldn't be totally surprised if it was called the Cobra. We also don't
know what the power plant will be. A lot of the earlier reports point to this naturally
aspirated codename Voodoo engine, and a lot of the have backed that up.
We didn't hear any noticeable supercharger whine or turbocharger noise, but some of the
latest spy photos have shown these hood vents or scoops in front of the car which has led
some to believe that maybe a forced induction application isn't totally off the table yet.
Either way, we're just going to have to wait until next month at the New York Auto Show
in April to see the unveiling of the brand new GT350/Cobra alongside the brand new 50th
Anniversary Mustang which we cannot wait to see. Now if you guys want to stay up to date
with all of these latest updates, be sure to subscribe to our blog by clicking on the

Alright, before we get out of here for this month and give away our sweepstakes winner,
I do want to talk about one more cool new product from Raxiom. Raxiom is set to release
their brand new daytime running light kit available for the 2010-2012 GT and V6 Mustangs.
Now the lights are designed to make you and you Mustang a little bit more visible during
the day, and what's cool is they actually dim at night when your headlights are on,
just, so you're not blinding other drivers. The kit itself is very easy to install thanks
to the complete harness that comes along with everything, and I actually got to check the
lights out installed on our 2012 GT while we were doing some product shots here at AmericanMuscle.com.
They definitely look great on the car, and keep in mind that they are backed by Raxiom's
two year warranty.
OK, we are getting a little fancy in the graphics department this month, so check this out.
If you want to learn more about the GT kit, and click on this side if you want to learn
more about the V6 kit. Last but not least, it's time to give away the $400 for the February
sweepstakes, and that lucky winner is Shawn M. from Thibodaux, Louisiana. Congrats, Shawn,
and I hope I'm pronouncing your city right.
Now you know we do this every month, guys. This month we're giving away $350 to be used
here at AmericanMuscle.com. Real simple to enter, just click on the link below. Keep
in mind; you have all month long to do so.
Well, that is a wrap for March guys. Thanks again for watching. Now we're really excited
for next month. We have our next Mustang Mayhem event coming up which will be an awesome day,
and we finally get to see what Ford has planned for the 50th Anniversary Mustang, and the
next generation GT350 or Cobra.
