Welcome to Boston, one of the oldest and most historic cities in the US.
The city was founded by English settlers in 1630
- that's why this part of the US. is still called New England.
Boston is constantly voted by Americans as the most beautiful city in the country,
and one of the best places to live.
But Boston is also very young at heart, since it's a buzzing student city.
With over 70 colleges and universities including Harvard and MIT,
this is a major academic capital, and a fantastic place to be a student!
The city is very nice, a beautiful city; it's close to the water.
There are a lot of places where you can hang out with your friends,
a lot of cool places around the city.
EF Boston is set on a beautiful 17 acre campus in the neighborhood of Brighton,
just a short ride from downtown Boston.
This city has a strong focus on academia so studying in Boston gives you access
to some of the best student facilities.
Our campus has the ideal location to help you focus fully on learning.
The school welcomes students from all over the world and has a great international atmosphere.
On campus you'll find spacious classrooms, and high-tech multimedia language labs.
Students may use the Internet in the labs.
There is also free Wi-Fi access in the student lounges.
Another great place to meet classmates is the school cafeteria,
serving a wide variety of food in a comfortable, social environment.
On campus, you'll find the reception, accommodation and academic offices,
and an activities office arranging lots of fun things to do in your spare time.
At EF Boston, your English will improve rapidly thanks to our efficient teaching method,
the Efekta System.
Using this method, we combine classroom learning with individual online tutorials
in our iLab language labs.
Our unique curriculum caters to students of all levels and abilities,
whether you are on a two week intensive course or a year-long academic program.
We have academic programs to suit everyone's needs,
from exam preparation to University Foundation Year.
Our Master Business English program is also quite popular; it's a perfect way to
gain insights into today's business practices or to get a head start on one's career.
The reason why I came to Boston is to improve my English
for my further studies at university. I'm going to do my bachelor's degree in Sweden
and then I'm going to do my master's abroad - so that's why I'm here!
Being a campus, EF Boston offers classes and accommodation on the same grounds.
Our newly refurbished dormitories allow you to enjoy the atmosphere
of traditional American campus life.
Living with students from all over the world will give you a truly international experience,
where you'll get to speak English all the time.
You can also choose to live in a residence located downtown,
or with a local host family to learn first-hand about American culture.
In a college town like Boston there's a lot going on.
We take the students to Harvard Square on trips.
We also go to basketball games with the Boston Celtics,
and the Red Sox, which is the baseball team here.
I try to make sure that the students have a good time out of class.
Boston is a city best explored on foot.
Walk the cobbled streets of atmospheric Beacon Hill,
or hang out at the lively Quincy Market.
These neighborhoods are full of historic landmarks from the American Revolution,
which started here in Boston.
Browse the shops of trendy Newbury Street in elegant Back Bay,
or take a break to people watch and try Boston's famous seafood.
On the weekends, see more of the US by joining trips to places like New York...
...and Washington D.C.
In winter, there are many great places to ski or snowboard around New England.
In summer, go to the beaches around Boston and on nearby Cape Cod.
Immerse yourself in the English language, by coming to study
in one of the academic capitals of the world.
Choose an accredited school that will help you rapidly become more fluent
- and enjoy this incredible city!
Welcome to EF Boston!
