MAN: Here we go.
DIERKS: Here we go.
( music playing )
Come on, Nashville, let's go.
( cheers and applause )
PAMELA: Here we are on the black carpet
of the Country Music Awards, where we're learning
when it comes to fashion, it's more than just hats and boots.
SUSIE: Well, my favorite thing is actually vintage.
This is a 1950s dress.
It's Emma Domb, and I was so excited to find it.
I was looking online forever.
DANELLE: This is a dress by Ina Soltani,
and some shoes from Bebe.
I just love kind of mixing the crazy tights with the
rock n' roll kind of flare.
So our personalities are pretty different, therefore...
SUSIE: We're like yin and yang, so...
DANELLE: ...our dresses are a little different as well.
BO: Yeah, I mean, you know, what?
I mean, I dressed up tonight because these...
these are the CMA Awards.
I mean, I know that what... what... you know,
Trace is going to look like, I know Blake Shelton's
going to come in here probably in some kind of flannel
and then $12,000 boots.
KID: This says that I really don't have a style trend.
PAMELA: ( laughing )
KID: Just kind of put on something that feels comfortable
and try to let the music do the talking.
I'm not here for the fashion show.
JOEY: Well, our style is really pretty... pretty simple.
Actually, today Roper and Stetson sent me
a box of clothes, and so I just went through them
and found a couple items and tailored them
with my sewing machine, ironed them, and I said,
"Okay, Rory, I'm wearing this so we need to go into your closet
and find you something to wear."
RORY: And I've always worn Carhartt.
I have like, 35 pair...
JOEY: Of overalls.
>> ...and so... of overalls, yeah.
And then you know, I tell everybody this is...
my designer is Hamilton Carhartt who designed these in 1883.
But I love to be comfortable and so does Joey, and I know
she could be all dressed up in a pretty dress and she looks
beautiful in that too, but she's really kind of a cowgirl,
so I love when she dresses like this.
PAMELA: He called you a cowgirl.
How cute!
You know what?
I like those boots.
JERROD: Well, thank you.
These boots are a... I call them my "***-tonk Force Field,"
because no one would want to punch a guy
with birds and flowers on their boots, would they?
PAMELA: Do you know what your wearing?
JOSH: What, time for work?
PAMELA: No, you're wearing purple!
JOSH: I know I'm wearing pur... oh, you're wearing purple too!
Look at us.
PAMELA: Look at us.
And do you know...
JOSH: A match made in heaven, it really was.
PAMELA: I am so glad that you got the memo, because you know
that Yahoo is...
JOSH: Purple.
PAMELA: Yes!
And you know what we say at Yahoo?
JOSH: What?
( singing ) Yahoo!
Is that what it is?
PAMELA: Wow!
Like, this is like, you're right!
This is like a...
JOSH: You prepped me, but you didn't.
PAMELA: I love the purple!
You're looking good!
JAY: Thank you.
I heard you were going to be here and you needed a date,
so I wanted to wear purple for you.
PAMELA: And I'm so glad we're matching.
And here we all are matching!
This is great, I love this.
We have to "Yahoo" together, ready?
( singing ) Yahoo!
JAY: Hey, you know what?
I got to tell you something.
You in that purple?
We could take Lady Antebellum tonight.
PAMELA: We could, couldn't we?
JAY: We really could.
That's all we're missing, is a girl.
PAMELA: We learned a lot about fashion trends tonight
and beautiful gowns, but actually, on the black carpet,
the fashion of the night was definitely Yahoo purple.
