Your and NID or network ID is used to log into the wireless network,
Information Literacy Modules, and computer labs on campus.
So what is your NID? To look up your NID
go to my.ucf.edu/nid.html
Or search for NID from the UCF home page and click on
the NID look up link. Enter your name and email address
then click "Continue." The system will then send a message containing your NID to
the email address you specified.
Here's an example of the email you'll receive.
Click on the password reset link to reset your password.
If this is your first time using your NID, you also use the password reset link
to set your initial password. The link will take you to the password
self-service page.
Click on the link "Change NID Password" to set up your initial password
or to change it. You can also reset your password in person
or over the phone. Enter your NID and security characters
to pull up your account.
If this is your first time setting up your password, you will also have to
choose challenge questions and answers for future password resets.
If you are changing your password, you can confirm
ownership by answering your challenge questions or by email.

Here's an example of the confirmation email. You can either click on the link to
automatically confirm
or copy and paste the verification code into the form.

Then select a password.
and click "Set Password."
Now you're ready to go!
