and a promotional song, which will be shot soon.
Akshay and Tamannah will be shooting for the promotional song soon."
For all those who wait eagerly not just for Akshay Kumar, but also entertainment and holidays,
well... this one is a rocker of news for you! The news is that Ramesh Taurani's next flick
that's titled It's Entertainment, starring Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia
is scheduled to release 28th March 2014. By releasing the film on this day,
the films makers have ensured that the film gets a whopping a 4- day weekend with the
country celebrating Gudi Padwa and Ugadi on the Monday after release! If that wasn't
enough, then, the film will also fall on one of the last weekends before the onset of the
IPL 2014. Ramesh Taurani, who confirmed the news, said
that, "Yes, we were looking to target an extended weekend and March 28th seemed
ideal for which reason we chose the date....We've worked out a schedule keeping the day in mind".
It's Entertainment, which marks the directorial debut of writers Sajid-Farhad, will go on
floors July this year in Bangkok, where major portions will be shot, followed
by an extensive schedule in Mumbai. Besides Akshay and Tamannah, the film also
stars cast Prakash Raj, Sonu Sood, Mithun Chakraborty and others.
Popular TV actor Hiten Tejwani will be seen alongside Bollywood star Akshay Kumar in a
movie titled 'Its Entertainment'. The film marks the debut of writer duo Sajid-Farhad
as directors. They had earlier written dialogues for films like 'Bol Bachchan',
'Housefull 2', 'Ready', 'Golmaal Returns' and 'Golmaal 3'.
Hiten is doing a cameo in the film. "It is a small role that I am doing in the film.
I am playing a small screen actor. I did the film because of my relation with Ramesh Taurani
(producer)," Hiten told PTI. The actor has started shooting for his role
and is quite happy to be a part of the film. Produced by Ramesh Taurani, the film stars
Akshay opposite 'Himmatwala' heroine Tamannah Bhatia and is scheduled to release in March
next year. Currently, Hiten is playing the role of Manav
Deshmukh in Ekta Kapoor's most popular soap 'Pavitra Rishta'. He all hosts crime based
show 'Savdhaan India'. He has also been part of several hit daily
soaps like 'Kutumb' and 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'.
Talking about his popularity on small screen, Hiten
says, "I feel fortunate that people remember be with my on
screen characters (names). This shows I have succeeded in
making a place in their hearts."
It won't be the roar of GABBAR that would be heard on Independence Day next year. Instead,
there would be some all-round entertainment on display
, albeit a week in advance. Reason? Akshay Kumar's ITS ENTERTAINMENT is now arriving
on 8th August while his GABBAR would release later in the year.
"This is courtesy the moving ahead of HOLIDAY (remake of THUPPAKKI) which has resulted in
a ripple effect for Akshay's films," informs a source,
"Earlier HOLIDAY was supposed to arrive in March but then Reliance has decided to shift
the film ahead as they feel that 1st May is a more
appropriate date. ITS ENTERTAINMENT too was initially planned for the same day but, it
is but natural that you can't have two films of Akshay
releasing together. There has to be some gap at the least."
The next big date was 15th August. However, with Ajay Devgn's SINGHAM 2 and Saif's PHANTOM
already fighting it out for the said date, there was no way Akshay would have made it
further complicated by bringing his film in between and created a three way clash.
Earlier this too it was his ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI DOBAARA that had entered the ring
first and blocked 9th August for his arrival. However with CHENNAI EXPRESS too showing interest
in arriving on the same date, Jeetendra had intervened and Ekta Kapoor along with Akshay
moved their film ahead on Independence Day. However, in order to avoid any such off screen
confrontations which could have resulted in bad
blood, ITS ENTERTAINMENT is arriving a week earlier.
“Jayantilal Gada has bought the worldwide rights including satellite rights of the film
for about Rs 100 crore. It is a big deal of 2014,” a trade analyst
is quoted as saying. Its Entertainment is being made by writers-turned-directors
Sajid and Farhad, and stars Tamannaah opposite Akshay Kumar.
The shooting of the film started last year with major portions shot already. Besides
Tamannaah, the movie also stars Sonu Sood and Mithun Chakraborty. Earlier, it was slated
to release on May 1, but now has been pushed to August 8.
Akshay has 'steaming' 'Koffee With Karan' Like its name suggest, Its Entertainment is
a masala caper on the lines of Akki’s Housefull and Khiladi 786.
Akshay Kumar delivered two duds last year: Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara! and Boss.
Due to this, it was even heard that the production house Viacom 18 is thinking
of pulling out of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gabbar, starring the actor.
However, all is well now and Viacom 18 is back with the project, rooting for Akshay
Kumar, and confident that this time Akshay will
be able to lure the audiences to the theatres.
TIPS, who are producing ITS ENTERTAINMENT, confirmed that the film is arriving on 8th
August. Ramesh Taurani said, "All of us make our films with a so much love and also there
is a lot of hard work and money involved. Clash of two big films favours nobody. We
all being a part of one industry want everyone's films to do well. Competing with each other
is not in good taste, that's why we chose 8th August."
Resultantly, Akshay now has a clean passage for him to enjoy a solo release while other
films fight it out a week later. While this is indeed a smart move, when it comes to 'Gabbar',
one waits to see as and when it would roar next.
