Hi my name is Guillermo Gomez, I coach youth soccer. And today I'll talk to you about how
to eat right for your soccer player. You know to start with I'd like to just a pyramid designed
by the U.S. department of Agriculture. You know which emphasizes grains, meats, dairy
products. You know young players do not need to cut their fat, because they are constantly
active, so I would get everything that just made, you know normally. Try to stay away
from the fat free products. You know kids need carbohydrates, calcium, iron, so to ensure
that they have a nice balanced diet. This is also important because they develop good
habits as the player gets older. Then you want to make sure that after they have a lot
of activity that you nourish them with the right foods. You can give them a banana that
has potassium. You can give them oranges, nuts, you know you can give them pastas, a
lot of carbohydrates and then your meats. So you can give them lots of protein. Then
it's super important you give them a lot of water. Hydrate them all the time. Make sure
that they have lots of liquids in their bodies And this is how you can eat healthy for your
soccer player.
