Okay - here is an embarrassed to ask a cooking question -
How do you poach more than one egg at a time?
In order to poach two eggs and make sure they stay together when you're poaching them,
you need to make sure they both go into the swirling water at the same time.
So we're going to start by breaking two eggs into a ramekin or similar size dish
then bring a pan full of water to the boil
and add a cap full of vinegar and a pinch of salt. Then
turn the heat down so the bubbles stop and make a swirling
whirlpool in the water with the spoon. Making sure the water is still swirling,
make sure you quickly add the eggs from the ramekin into the middle of the
swirling water.
Then poach as usual. You may find it'll take a minute or so longer to poach the
egg because there's more than one in there.
So that's the trick of poaching more than one egg at a time -
by putting them into a ramekin or dish and pouring them into the swirling water
at the same time.
