A great Pilates move for slimming the legs are bicycles. Basically, bicycles are more
of a core exercise, but they do work the legs also. Basically you're going to lay down on
your back and you're going to put your hands behind your head just like this. And your
hands are going to be supporting the head, but not yanking on the head. You're just supporting.
So, you're going to go on a bicycle movement. So, as one leg comes towards your body, the
opposite elbow goes towards that knee. And the same thing with this. So, basically you
extend out and you touch. So, you want to make sure that as you're doing this, you're
extending your legs out, your arms are open. A lot of people what they make the mistake
is they bring their arms close to their face and then they kinda cheat themselves because
they go like this, whereas, you're not getting the full range of motion. You're not getting
the full benefit of the exercise. So, basically turn and turn. And, when you're first starting
off with this, the higher you keep your legs, the easier it is. So, for beginners, I would
keep your legs a little bit higher. But, as you get more advanced, the lower you bring
your legs, the more you're going to work your lower core and the more you're going to work
your quads, here. So, beginners to advanced. Make sure you breathe out on each touch. So
basically, I would do about 20 reps. Once you feel a burn, I would do about 10 more.
Challenge yourself. Work yourself up from there. Go 30, 40, 50 reps and just kind of
challenge yourself from there. And as for that, that's a great exercise. A pilates move
for slimming the legs.
