There’s nothing like offering friends and family a truly home-cooked meal. As you begin
to spend more time at home (and in the kitchen) get creative with making your own sauces,
spice mixes, marinades and/or broths. They are much cheaper than already-canned/store-bought
kinds, and you can control the amount of salt and fat in them, making them much healthier
for your family. Tip: keep track of your new concoctions by writing them down as you go
(and filing them in a recipe organizer). Make extra batches and store/freeze it. When it’s
time to bring a gift to someone you love, grab your already-homemade recipe, write a
personal note and share the love!
