Good afternoon, Sister Keiko. How has FEBC Japan and the churches been involved in this
rebuilding of lives. Do you have any programs done, or anything lined up for your people
where they can come to you when they really need somewhere to go?
Yes, of course, we made several special programs to comfort them. Especially for those people
who have severe trauma, and are isolated, and so forth. At the same time, our listeners
responded that it is wonderful to hear the ordinary programs we can hear. Because every
channel repeats "Tsunami." They are up to neck, which is kind of a terrible image. They
need some kind of ordinary message. Something calm. Something that they can really feel
resting and peaceful. Our listeners have great confidence in FEBC. They keep listening and
listening, therefore, whatever they hear from FEBC is kind of a support for their spiritual
life. What they need is a tangible love and support, and hope, real hope.
Because Japanese people, like many people in Asia, their background is, they have no
Jesus Christ. So they cannot have an image of the father, the heavenly father, but they
can feel the love of God through FEBC. FEBC's daily life really comforts them, they say.
Hallelujah. Sister Keiko, really wonderful when I hear how FEBC Japan is really going
all out to use media as a tool, to offer comfort and hope. You are right, you know. If we were
to listen to negative remarks the whole day, it's true, it just makes us worse. And I'm
sure your broadcasts must've really touched the heartstrings of your people. And we hope
they will know our God. Now, sister Keiko, as a Christian from Singapore, and I've spoken
to many Christians, we really want to support. But, you know, we can't just pray, God, bless
Japan, help Japan. We really want to know, tangible efforts. How can we pray specifically
for your urgent needs, besides those that you already shared with us. Would you like
to tell us? We can commit all those things to God in prayer.
Thank you, thank you for asking us. The pastor said there are just too exhausted, and need
encouragement. Give us the message that you are praying. Please give us the message that
you are remembering, he said. And also, he said that there are many unidentified victims,
and dead bodies, and they are trying to have a funeral. However, they have to have approval
from the government. If you just lost your beloved one, and don't know where they went.
And, it makes a big trauma. So if they can see that dead, unidentified, dead body is
carefully, tenderly buried, and had a funeral. The pastors are now negotiating with the local
government to let them have a funeral. So, together, they are having funeral ceremonies.
that gives those people who lost their families, cannot find the bodies, comforts them. Please
pray for these people who lost their beloved ones, families, and also pastors can help
these people to have funeral for them. And also, nuclear plant problem is really, really
hard. These people who have to leave the area, their house is o.k., and yet they cannot go
home. That stress is getting bigger, so please pray for these people. There are two, three,
four churches washed away. And many people, Christian people, were washed away, too. So,
please pray for these people, and churches, and the pastors who have to take care for
these church members. It will be a long battle. A very long battle. 5 years. 10 years. And
people are afraid that they will be forgotten soon, or later. So please remember them in
your prayer, continuously, and keep praying for them.
Yes, sister Keiko, thank you for sharing. I myself must say that I am very enlightened.
Sister Keiko, please tell your church people that we are walking with you hand in hand.
You are not alone, you are not alone, and God is also with you.
Thank you very much and please give our best regards to the people who are gathering there
for us, please.
Yes, we will. And may our Lord's presence always comfort and strengthen you and all
your brothers and sisters in Japan. Than you, sister Keiko for being with us today.
Thank you, God bless you!
Thank you, and God bless you too.
