In this clip I'm going to show you how to draw a dolphin. And yes, I'm fully aware that
dolphins are not fish but they look like fish in a great many ways, in which I will demonstrate
to you right now, here in the middle. For one thing, their bodies are shaped, a great
deal, like a shark. You got the little snout action, which sharks have, obviously. This
dolphin we're going to make kind of a friendly cartoon like good dolphin so we won't be making
it exactly to scale but we want to keep the dolphin characteristics. The one thing about
their flippers though, that's kind of interesting, they're shaped in a fun little swoop like
way that is definitely different from some of their other fish brothers. We're going
to make this one with a happy little eye, dolphins are typically happy creatures ,
probably the most friendly of all sea creatures. You can train them to do all sorts of fun
things. Now we'll come down here and we'll draw the tail, which in shape, is also a lot
like a shark's tail but we're going to try and make this one a little bit rounder and
a little bit more happy, whereas, if we were drawing a shark, we'd make it more jagged
and straight. We're going to round off the tips to show that it's a happier tail, which
is funny how just a simple shape change can do that but it really can. A little blow hole
up on top just so the people that are adamant about making sure that it's known that this
is a mammal, are not unhappy. A little dolphin dorsal fin, right up here on top. There you
have it, a friendly little dolphin.
