Veronika, mother of two boys, is a woman whose motherhood
and births have left a lasting effect. What is the most common issue for mothers?
Why do they feel the need to visit a plastic surgeon?
It is mostly related to excess fat,
loose skin on the tummy and saggy ***.
*** enlarge during breastfeeding,
but afterward the mammary glands atrophy and shrink, and *** become saggy.
That’s what happened to Veronika, who had large yet firm *** before giving birth.
She also has a flabby tummy with excess fat since her two pregnancies.
She weighed 100 kg after her second child and decided to lose weight.
Last year, she lost 20 kg due to a change in diet and exercise.
She lost everything except the saggy *** and loose tummy. Those stayed.
-How is this a problem for you, Veronika? -Mainly because I can’t find clothing.
If it fits in the waist area, it is too loose around my legs.
It’s the same with my tummy and ***. It needs to go over my *** to fit me
but then it’s too big elsewhere.
-Do you feel attractive? -No.
But it is better now that I’ve lost weight.
-What about underwear? -Not good.
My tummy hangs out and I don’t even bother with bras.
How big are your ***?
75 F or G-cup size.
-There’s no profile. They are saggy. -Right on the tummy, as I say.
-Is it possible to say that you have body issues? -Mm.
What about sex, Veronika?
What is that?
No, simply no.
I don’t enjoy it with my body.
We can’t just leave Veronika like this.
She can be helped by plastic surgery, or rather, two plastic surgeries.
She will undergo a removal of excess skin on the tummy together with a liposuction.
Once she recovers, she will have a breast reduction surgery
and a thigh liposuction to finalize body proportions.
First up is the tummy.
I think that now her weight loss is really optimal.
I think any further weight loss would make no sense for Veronika.
It would only lead to more saggy skin.
In my opinion the patient is an ideal candidate for surgery.
During the two-hour surgery, 900 ml of pure fat was removed from the tummy,
as was 750 g of excess skin.
The stitches are dissolvable, so there is no need to remove them.
We will only cover them with plasters and in 12 days the wounds will be healed.
One month after the tummy tuck, Veronika will undergo a breast reduction.
Because we will reduce the mammary gland, all of this will be removed.
Once removed, we will fold the breast like this and achieve a new shape
by reducing its size.
During the surgery, Veronika will also have a thigh and hip liposuction
so that her new body shape is as proportional as possible.
After the surgery, there will be scarring around the areola and under the ***.
The scars will gradually fade away. First they will be red and purple,
but in a couple of months they will fade and only remain very slightly.
Plasters from the *** can be removed in two weeks when the wounds are healed.
It will all heal in two weeks,
but the final results will only be visible in about two months time when
the *** soften and shape themselves.
Two months after the first surgery, Veronika does not have fond memories
of the healing process.
More than in the *** or the tummy, she suffered pain in the liposuction areas.
I could not walk. I could not sit.
I could not go to the toilet without pain,
but it’s OK now.
It took two months for everything to heal, but now Veronika has a new life up ahead.
I feel great.
I can buy small bras.
And I don’t have to look for “sacks,” as my husband would call my old bras.
I can buy small pants, and I can find ones that fit in no time
A friend of mine gave me a pullover, but when I found out that it was a size L,
I thought that she must have lost her mind, but it fits me.
Veronika now wears clothing and underwear three sizes smaller than before.
She is now a D-cup instead of a G, and the change in body shape is obvious,
as is her newly discovered self-confidence.
-How does it feel to look in the mirror? -At the age of 30, I feel beautiful again.
I feel good about myself
Before, I used to say sex only in the dark or under the duvet.
But now I don’t worry anymore. It is all good now.
My husband keeps on saying I should take my clothes of and show myself to him.
But mainly people around me say that I look good.
which is of course just great.
