>> W: School picture day, youd think this was a time for students to strut their stuff,
a time for students to look their best and represent their school while flawlessly making
other students feel inferior Not quite.
>> R: This week a Utah High School decided to Photoshop photos of its students that they
deemed to be inappropriate.
>> W: Dont you hate it when you be trying to look good and people dont want to be
letting you? This is a downright outrage!
>> R: A Utah High School decided that some of the photos taken on picture day were just
too revealing. They then altered the photos too add clothing to the unclassy photos. Today
weve brought in a friend to help us illustrate the news.
>> W: Hello Internet, Im Srgt. Clearly. When something is unquestionable and clearly
ignet Im going to be the one to tell you. I was in the army or something.
>> R: As you can see in this before photo theres a normal looking girl with a sleeveless
shirt on. The school added a LITTLE bit of sleeve to make her look like less of a streetwalker
in their eyes.
>> W: CLEARLY, Thats a horrible idea. Shes GOING to notice because she has those things
called eyes.
>> R: In this photo theres a girl who had a small tattoo on her chest. It was covered
up with a fake shirt.
>> W: CLEARLY, tattoos are sin and she needed to put a shirt on or get on that long
track to criminal behavior!
>> R: Educators said that students were aware of the dress code and a warning sign was posted
that students photos may be edited.
>> W: CLEARLY, nobody reads signs anymore! They should have sent out a mass text! Or
instagrammed a picture of the sign! Then the students would have noticed!
>> R: Sophomore student of the school Rachel Russel said, I feel like they put names
in a hat and pick and choose who. There were plenty of girls that were wearing thicker
tank tops and half of them got edited and half of them didnt.
>> W: UNDOUBEDLY, they ran out of photoshopman because thats hard work Im leaving
now.
>> R and W: Bye, sgt. Obvious!
>> W: But in all seriousness, theres not much complaining we can do on this subject
because the level of conservativeness is held in the eye of the beholder, aka, the angry
old people running the school. Whenever old people run things they want you to wear all
of your clothes and hold back your creativity. Let me be me grandma!
>> R: Do you think its fair for the school to edit such small changes as this?
>> W: Were you unclassy in your yearbook photo? Let us know in the comments down below.
