The Coca-Cola Company has warned
the federal regulators on Wednesday that a fungicide used by
Brazil orange planters is unapproved in US.
And they have found few fungicide
in their and competitors' fruit juice products.
Meanwhile, they released a statement saying that,
as a responsible company, we always insist on doing the right things
and abide by the laws and regulations.
Thus, when we found that the fungicide sprayed
on the fruit trees is unapproved,
We reported the U.S. Food and Drug Administration quickly.
We think every responsible company will do the same thing.
This is industry problem which
involves related American companies.
The Company's sub brands Simply
and "Minute Maid" have orange juice products.
It is praiseworthy that Coca-Cola exposed
the problem in the statement willingly.
But that doesn't mean that it is a responsible company.
The products should be pulled off, recalled
and destroyed if they really have pesticide residual.
Producers blame orange planter, dairy farmer and
supermarket for food safety problems.
We don't want to sidestep the problems in material supply.
However, the manufacturer can hardly absolve itself from
the blame of using the poor quality materials.
What's more, what will Coca-Cola and other companies do
since they have discovered the problem?
