Hello guys, I'm here to teach to you
a littel about an app
called Layerpaint
for Android. Is this one with this icon
This one goes to my friends from
Google plus
they ask for help and I talk a lot about this app
and I'm here to talk about it a little.
There are two apps
for Android and they are very interesting
Sketchbook and Layerpaint. I prefer Layerpaint because it gives you more freedom.
Some features on Sketchbook are better but in general I prefer Layerpaint
Let's begin
this is the main interface
My bar is blue because I changed
on the color selection.
This is the classic color scheme
If you pick any color and click the tree squares below you change
your color interface.
This color scheme is
for use with your brushes too.
This menu if for undo and redo
this one is to flip image
to change horizontally
but it is only to help you with
your strokes
it won't save your draw.
Even if you save your image flipped, quit and come back it will back to the original position.
All of these are layers for this drawn.
The app accepts lots of layers.
In this corner
you change visibility
of your work.
I will get rid of alligator
color
This icon is to insert more layers, delete layers...
Éand to push it to bottom.
There are no ways
to push a layer up,
just put it to
the bottom.
it's more complicated and dumb but
there is no other way.
Let's continue, this pink rectangle
with an Alpha letter is to control opacity of your layer.
If I pick up this one
of my work
I will reduce
opacity.
Look at the screen when I reduce
the opacity.
This icon is the clipping mask. What is that?
To show you how it works
I will create a new draw here.
This icon is to save.
This one is
to share your work
by email or another link.
And here you will create
a new canvas.
You can resize, crop or create a new one.
The good part in
Layerpaint, you can
customize your canvas size or use one of these presets.
Let's suppose I want to work with clipping mask.
To do that
let's play using gradient tool
Gradient here is almost useless.
Let me pick up red
change the layer color
and yellow.
Now let's create a new layer
and push it to bottom.
Just to you see I will take off the visibility of the layer.
Let's go back.
Go to brushes options.
And I will set up a thicker brush.
Now turn the visibility on again.
Select your layer,
and click on clipping option.
If I move the gradient layer
like this
see what happens.
This is the clipping mask.
Let's talk about brushes.
There are very few of them.
Click on this option.
You will see all these tools and in this corner you have eye drop
to pick up color and the brush.
Click again to hide your tool bar and have more space.
You can see at the screen
You can make light strokes
and Galaxy Note 2 understands
the pressure levels, very cool!
Go back to options
and here you have control of your brush size.
You can control brush opacity
righ hereÉ
Éand your stroke is more transparent.
And you have opacity control over layer too.
Undo, undo, undoÉ
Like I said before, there are few brushes. Each dot here is a selected
brush.
You have only six brushes
each one with a function.
The watercolor
is interesting
you can make some
good stuff
it has another kind of
set up.
Let's change this set up.
Let's play
with colors.
If I paint this way,
let me hide this bar,
You can mix colors.
it looks like the
smudge tool.
You can change the set up to have others results
with color mixing.
This feature is very interesting!
Let's continue with the Layerpaint options,
your have eraser, lineÉ
Line tool is a bit
ticker compared
to the brush.
with the same values.
As you can see
line is a bit ticker,
it's like you apply total strength.
So if you use it, set your size a little thinner.
Click here to change brush size,
like I said before.
This one is the fill tool,
it is a little ackward.
It only fills
in square form.
There are no other fill shape.
The real fill tool
is the bucket.
It will fill
all the canvas.
Now
let's imagine
you have a sketch
on this layer.
And on the layer below I will use bucket tool, it won't fill all the image.
It is restricted by your sketch on the layer above.
If you want to fill all the layer,
turn off
your sketch layer.
This one is the eye drop
no secrets here,
click on the blue,
paint with same color.
Eye dropÉ yellowÉ
Gradient tool unfortunately
doesn't fill
a selection.
Oh, and the selection is the worst because it's only in square form.
It only selects
squares.
This feature needs improvements.
Gradient tool will pick up
foreground and background colors.
You can change by clicking this icon
and choosing
your colors.
So if I do this
it fills all the canvas.
Let's go back here
The hand tool it's to move around your canvas
without messing with your draw.
It's the same
as using your fingers.
This one is zoom in and zoom out,
but you can use pinch movement too.
Beyond that
we have more set up
with interesting functions
Layer options like clear,
duplicate,
merge layers,
import imagesÉ
Import images doesn't allow to rotate or resize
Let's go back, import, exportÉ
import transparentÉ
calibration and more set up.
Like pen pressure, image qualityÉ
grid visualization,
and other settings.
This one is very usefull
lets you undo and redo with volume keys
of your Note 2.
I recommend disable single touch to not mess your work.
Show brush cursor
turn it off.
Now let's draw a littleÉ
Ok, let me begin a sketch
the quick tip here
as you can see
it's to hold your
S-Pen.
Do you see the stylus button? Place your thumb or forefinger here.
Like this.
Why? Because if you make a mistake
this app has a cool feature
that let you erase
more easily.
Just hold the button and tap the screen once.
This will change from brush to eraser.
Like this.
