Voiceover: This is based on a true story.
Once upon a time, there was a little girl called Emma
with lots of friends
and Emma loved to play with them
and ride her bike… all day long.
And at night, Emma loved to read
and count the stars as she fell asleep.
But a time came when, gradually, the stars began to fade.
Emma: Mummy! Mummy! Where are you?
Voiceover: And the mornings grew dim. and the whole world became a blur.
Emma was going blind.
and she couldn’t join in her friends’ games,
or ride her bike…… or read her books… or count the stars…
Emma: Mummy! Mummy!
Emma’s mother: I’m here darling, what can I do?
Voiceover: This is not a fairy tale.
