Hi, I'm Michael Burton, we're talking about choosing a wedding videographer for your wedding
day. One important aspect to make sure that you check with your videographer about is
what the videographer will be doing on the wedding day. Whether the videographer will
be the one controlling the wedding day or whether it will be the photographer. It should
be the photographer, but there are some couples that don't have a photographer, they only
have a videographer. That means the videographer will be the one in control of doing the family
shots or leading you around the area where you're taking photos, and doing the poses
or the shots or trying to get those candid moments, he would be the one in charge. You
also want to make sure that your wedding videographer is not getting in the way of anything. He's
not being too annoying, he's not being too close up. Basically, they should be standing
back shooting the candid moment, candid moments and not being in the way and really being
off in the distance. Unless they're doing something specifically related to their video
in order to produce that better video for you. I know, in our case, we like to shoot
while the photographer's shooting, but standing back from a distance and get those candid
moments. And then, what we'll do is we'll usually take the bride and groom for an extra
twenty, thirty minutes after the photographer's done to get some of those more staged or poses
shots. Shots that really show off the dress or the tuxedo or the place where they're being
married. Then when you combine that with the candid moment that really creates a really
unique style and a really unique video. So make sure you discuss that with your videographer
before you show up to the wedding day or you may have a few surprises and some guys will
go away not too happy with the videographer that they chose.
