Hello, this Doctor John Fitzgerald and get ready learn with My Nutrition Advisor. Today
I am going to show you how to make a superfood smoothie that we called The Hangover.
This is really the healthiest Bloody Mary that was ever created in the face of the world
and I have lived in Las Vegas the last 10 years, so this becomes a very important drink,
as you can imagine.
So what we have here, we have Apple. Right away think anti-stroke. Apple's good for your
brain.
Carrots, anti-cancer, good for the skin, good for the eyes.
Tomatoes, tomatoes have been an anti-hangover remedy forever. That's where bloody marys
come from, that's why we use tomatoes.
See, I love a Bloody Mary, the next day after out partying and the thing is, I wanted a
really healthy Bloody Mary, so I wanted real tomatoes. I didn't want some weird tomato
juice with all this artificial stuff in it and I wanted the real thing, so we got real
tomatoes here.
Red peppers, another anti-cancer ingredient and the thing about these is these are through
the roof in natural vitamin C levels.
We have lemons, lemons are really good at killing micro-organisms. The other good thing
there for is restoring your charge, your electrical charge. That is why you feel so good after
having lemons.
We have Cayenne. Cayenne opens up the circulation the next day. It's also really good for metabolism.
We have sea salt because you probably lost a lot of minerals the night before. Sea salt
helps replace those minerals. Make sure its sea salt, night table salt. I like Himalayan
pink sea salt. It has a great flavor to it.
Then we have the superfood mix here. We have the Ancient Greens from My Nutrition Advisor.
When I think of greens, I think about a few things. I think of pH support, I think of
detoxification, I think of building the blood and the thing about this is we have the most
powerful greens on the planet in here. We have spirulina, which is one of the few plant
sources that contain B-12.
We have moringa, known as most nutritious leaf source in the world, and then we have
wheat grass.
We also have healthy fats in here that are from flax seeds, chia seeds, hemp seeds.
We have turmeric in here. We have maca, we have ginger. All these things come together
and make this a superfood Bloody Mary Mix that we call The Hangover.
All we have to do, put it in a blender, add some water and ice and blend.
I put all the ingredients into the blender and now here's where you make the decision
are you gonna be good or are you going to be not so good. Maybe you’re gonna take
a bite out of the dog a bit you the night before, called the hair the dog.
You can either add 1 to 2 shots of tequila in here are 1 to 2 shots of *** if you want
a true alcoholic drink out of this or it’s good without alcohol too.
I like to run this a couple cycles on the smoothie setting because it really gets out
all the chunks and makes it more creamy.
This happens to be one of the recipes that I make for myself on a frequent basis.
I like the more earthy flavor. I'm not big into the sweet recipes. This really hits the
spot for me.
Simply delicious.
