Somebody goes to dinner, they leave their house,
they come back to their house, and there's a new kitchen.
It kind of blows your mind.
Your wife literally has no idea this is happening.
No idea.
This is Heather. Heather is essentially our target.
I think this will help me be really sneaky.
That's them.
You all are here because you are experts at what you do.
We are about to tackle something that has never been done before.
We are gonna do a remodel in about four hours.
[ Laughs ]
Everything with this kitchen remodel
is really happening behind the scenes.
Our goal is to get this build timed.
All right. You're at two minutes.
If we can't do it in the warehouse,
we're never gonna be able to do it at the real location.
It's all about the dance.
We're in!
We have to be scheduled
down to the minute of how we get in,
get the old kitchen out, get everything in new.
And if something goes awry...
...we are gonna have a major problem.
I want you to stall them already.
Amy, I'm so sorry.
How can they be done eating at 8:00?

This is it, huh?
This is the disaster area, right in here.
Holy cow. Okay, so, we got what, an hour while the wife and kids are gone?
Yeah, just about that.
Okay. Your wife literally has no idea this is happening?
No?
'Cause we want to blow her mind.
You'll blow everybody's mind if this can be done.
Talk to me about what you want, what you don't want,
what's going, what's staying.
Okay, there's two major issues.
Okay.
One is we have a nice view here,
and we can't see it because of this wall.
You don't have any view. Right. Where's the view?
That's the number-one issue.
So this is what we want to see?
Yes. Want to open this up.
So you're telling me not are we doing a kitchen remodel
in an evening, but we are taking down a wall?
If possible. [ Laughs ]
Jim, did you hear that?
We're taking down a wall.
Is that a joke or --
No. [ Laughs ]
How about a hole? You know, just a hole in the wall?
Yeah. What if we cut it off halfway?
I'd be fine with a hole, but I know my wife --
Okay.
I'm gonna go measure some more, 'cause this is already enough.
Number-two thing that we need to do in this kitchen
is our storage area.
We have two little hockey players,
Okay.
In the wintertime, it gets full of stuff,
Okay.
So, my wife -- it's driving her crazy,
whenever she comes home and she sees this.
The kids run and hide, you know, right when she walks in,
because she sees this, and it's like --
You're trying to save your wife's sanity
and your own happiness.
Yes, yes. Make peace in the family by figuring out this.
Do you hear that?
Yeah, I'm absorbing.
[ Laughs ]
When that wall comes down,
there's that big gap where there's nothing.
Just repairing the ceilings
is hours and hours of potential work.
He hated me here on the drive as I was explaining the project,
so I told him to be really positive.
Just hate the kitchen. Don't hate the people.
[ Laughs ] I like your philosophy. This is good.
You get to some more measuring,
and I'm gonna walk through and take some notes down.
My wife likes the modern look -- brushed nickel.
I'm leaning more towards maple than a mahogany or something.
Okay.
We need to figure out
exactly how long you can get her out of the house for.
Okay. Yeah, I already have a couple ideas.
Dinner on the other side of town, right?
I love that.
Okay. I have pictures.
I have measurements.
You have measurements.
And I have dreams.
[ Laughing ] You have dreams.
And I'm about to have nightmares.
Let's check out where we want to stash ourselves
before they leave for the night.
Sounds good.
So, they'll turn out and leave that way,
so we need to stash everything somewhere around this bend.
JIM: We can line up here.
They'll never see it when they come out.
I think the toughest part of the planning
is that we're not planning a kitchen.
We're planning everything that could possibly ever
in a million years go wrong during this remodel,
and we're prepping for all of that.
Yes. You got to bring your "A" game.
Yeah.
Everything with this kitchen remodel
is really happening behind the scenes.
We basically had to create a fake kitchen in a warehouse...
...so that we can assemble and disassemble
this whole entire space before the real thing actually happens.
We've also had to assemble a team, get all of the product,
and organize the exact timeline of the night of the event.
[ Laughing ] And it is a lot of work.
Now, you all are here because you are experts at what you do.
You know we are gonna be doing a kitchen remodel.
The amazing thing is is that we are gonna do a remodel
as a surprise in about four hours.
This is Heather. Heather is essentially our target.
She has no idea what's going on.
She's the one who's hopefully gonna have her mind blown
when she goes out to dinner and comes home
to a completely new kitchen.
We're gonna completely demo the old kitchen,
including taking down the wall
between the kitchen and the living room.
We're gonna bring in new Shaker-style maple cabinets
with this huge center island.
We're gonna install a recycled-paper countertop.
We're using a peel-and-stick, glass-mosaic-tile backsplash.
The floor is gonna be a floating bamboo floor
that clicks together.
Pendant lights go over the island and the sink area.
All new, stainless appliances
will be a serious upgrade for these guys.
With that said, Jim has worked really hard with Craig,
and they've set up a mock-up of the kitchen.
Just like the real thing.
Obviously, that wall's gone. That's the fun part.
Ben, you know, we got a gas line in there we got to address.
Fridge goes here, so we'll need an ice-maker line.
Cabinets all through here, bench,
upper cabinets to the ceiling.
Take a few minutes. Walk through it.
Again, task-specific. Look at electrical. Look at plumbing.
We're gonna put this kitchen together in this space
as a template before we even get to the house.
We have an amazing assortment of products.
These things are meant to be put in extremely quickly.
They're incredibly durable, good-quality products.
We are not skimping at all or cutting any corners
on what we're installing.
But it has to go in quickly, and it has to go in easily.
I did, yeah.
It had to happen.
How are we gonna carry this thing?
Well, we carried it in.
All right, so, this is the heaviest counter
I have ever worked with,
and you have this tiny 2" strip on either side.
Normally, when you're carrying a countertop,
it's on a truck by itself.
It's got five feet of padding on either side of it.
This is gonna be stuffed in there on a 24' truck
with an entire kitchen around it.
We're just gonna be really careful on getting it into the truck,
but to risk not having the break and cutting it on sight,
that's 20 or 30 minutes I don't think we have.
It's on you.
[ Laughs ] Okay.
[ Drill whirrs ]
One of the big players in this heist
is gonna be the spy, and the spy is Deryk's sister.
So the night that Deryk takes Heather out to eat,
the spy is gonna follow along.
She's gonna keep an eye on them
and be in contact with me the entire time.
So if we need more time with the project,
that spy is gonna have to figure out a way to stall them.
As soon as they pull out of the driveway, you're calling.
Exactly.
Okay, so, you're heading to follow them,
making sure the kids are dropped off.
Then you guys are gonna be heading all the way out.
And we have picked the furthest place
that they can go for dinner from their house.
Okay.
So, you'll be able to see inside the glass here,
we have reserved this table for them in front
where they're absolutely visible the whole entire time.
But you're gonna be monitoring, and you're gonna be calling me
through each of their courses, letting me know how it goes.
Yeah.
Have a drink at the bar.
I could pay some people off.
All right.
Good luck, you guys! Have fun!
They have left the building.
We're in!
Heads up, everybody.
There's a huge list of things that we've been working on
since we left the house with our first measurements.
We've walked the guys through a mock-up of the space,
and now we have to make sure
we have all the parts for the new kitchen
and then do a dry-fit to make sure it all goes together.
So, today our goal is to get this build timed,
how long it's gonna take us
to get everything from our truck in the door.
The space that we're standing in right now is the garage,
so I'm gonna mark this out for you.
That is your entrance and exit,
so that door right there is the garage door to the kitchen.
Then, over here...
is the driveway.
There's a "W."
So, your driveway is here,
and then the truck starts right back here.
So, this is your path -- truck, driveway, into garage.
Oh, yeah. Let's do it.
[ Stopwatch beeps ]
It's good.
All right. You're at two minutes.
Yeah.
[ Drill whirrs ]
Love it.
Well, there's some things that we're not actually gonna be able to time.
We don't know exactly how long it's gonna take for us
to get that wall down.
Yeah?
We're done. What do you want me to do?
So, you're on to island cabinetry.
We don't know what we're gonna find
as far as the electrical and the plumbing once we get the walls open.
Those are kind of left up in the air,
and we're just gonna have to figure out when we get there.
[ Groans ]
Andy, that was the last piece of cabinetry, right?
ANDY: That's correct.
Flooring, the first five rows should be in.
Mm-hmm. And technically, there's enough flooring
in there for Craig to stand right there.
Perfect. [ Laughs ]
So, Craig, you got to stand right there
Now you know why we picked you.
Grab some protective covering for the -- let's grab some...
An hour 10 into it, the fridge is going in.
Jigsaw.
Do you need to tape off the wood, or do you trust me?
I'm gonna trust you.
Not that we didn't have enough to do already,
but we've also got a design team here today
that's gonna help trick out the kitchen
as soon as we're done with the project,
and they're gonna try and work out their kinks
Oh, yeah.
All right, you guys, I'm calling it at 1:33.
Nice. Not bad. Sweet!
Whoo!
Which means that because in construction,
everything takes twice as long, we're right on for four hours.
That's actually pretty awesome, you guys.
You should feel fantastic about that.
We might have a little bit of a false sense of confidence
because inevitably,
no construction project goes without any hitches.
Today's the day.
We're here to load the truck.
We're loading it in reverse so we hopefully have
everything in order when we get to the house.
That is our main goal for the next hour.
Step out of the way.
Right behind you, Craig.
You guys, that's literally our last piece.
Perfect.
You ready for this, Amy?
I don't know, Tim. I have no idea.
Let's do this.
Tonight, we are going with it.
Literally, there's nothing that we can stop for.
So at this point, we are on a mission.
We're on a roll.
And if someone needs to get off the train,
we're leaving them behind.
AMY: I'm gonna pull off.
There's a parking lot where we've got a second tool truck
that we're gonna pick up.
It's about three miles from this parking lot to the house.
Okay, now I'm really nervous.
I'm starting to freak out.
I'm waiting for, like, an oxygen mask to fall from the ceiling.
[ Laughs ]
[ Indistinct radio chatter ]
AMY: The plan is to wait here until 5:15
and then head towards Deryk and Heather's house.
They're leaving at 5:30, and we don't want to be
hanging around the neighborhood too long.
I don't even think anyone will know me.
That would be backwards, wouldn't it?
But, you know...
I think this'll help me be really sneaky, okay?
Andy, come in. Andy? Amy for Andy.
I wonder who the first person to get chewed out is gonna be.
This is the only guy that didn't practice the build.
[ Laughs ]
So guess who's gonna be looking at us going
"What are you guys doing?!"
Okay, I got to go.
We got to go.
Yeah, it's time.
Here goes.
At this point, game on. Just got a text from Deryk.
The girls are on their way back from gymnastics.
Whoa. Incoming.
I said, "Is Heather dressed for dinner yet?"
He said, "Not yet."
So I think I'm gonna call Amy,
just give her a little heads-up on that.
[ Ringtone plays ]
Here's the deal -- the girls were a little bit late
coming from gymnastics.
They are on their way now.
So she's not even back with the kids yet. Is that right?
No, so don't think that, you know, you're late or anything.
How far away is she?
12 minutes.
Call me when Heather gets to the house, okay?
You got it. Good luck.
AMY: Well, you know what?
I think we should move either way to get over.
I would feel better if we all got to regroup
in the neighborhood right there.
Yeah. At this point, I just want to make sure
Absolutely.
I need to see them.
Yeah.
I am tense.
[ Ringtone plays ]
How about this -- I'll calm down a little bit.
Phew! Hi, Amy.
Deryk just texted, so they have left the building.
How did they leave?
I thought she wasn't even home yet.
I'm going to follow him to my mom's house.
So they pulled out in their car? Is that right?
The house is ready for you to go in.
All right. Signing off.
Yeah.
We just lost 15 minutes,
and we haven't even gotten to the house yet.
Deryk just texted, so they have left the building.
So they pulled out in their car? Is that right?
The house is ready for you to go in.
All right. Signing off.
Yeah.
We just lost 15 minutes,
and we haven't even gotten to the house yet.
They've left. We're going.
Just follow the convoy when it starts rolling.
Benjamin, you're leading all these people.
We're gonna do these trucks first,
and then you guys fill in.
Let's go.
We're off, man. That's it.
Hang on, though. We got power-line problems.
I need a rake or something.
Bring it in. You're good.
Oh! We're in!
All right, stop.
Get this one.
Right.
I'm moving in a few weeks,
and I think my move is gonna go a lot faster after this packing.
Jim, what's next?
That's right.
AMY: Thank you.
[ Drill whirring ]
We're at 5:42, so within 10 minutes
of our time for wanting to be in here,
the wall's coming down, so that's a good thing.
I'm just trying to make sure
I find eye contact with them again.
I think they're about six cars ahead.
[ Ringtone plays ]
We've left Mom's house.
I am following Deryk and Heather on 694, going by Mounds View,
so we're on our way to Lake Elmo Inn right now.
Okay, and what time is the reservation for?
Not till 7:00.
Probably getting there a little early.
Perfect. Okay, great.
Thank you so much for the update.
Watching spy movies is gonna be a little more fun now.
So far, so good.
I just am a little more nervous than I thought I would be,
so we'll be okay. [ Chuckles ]
JIM: This kitchen won't run --
I think we're gonna need this later.
[ Laughs ]
We're saving that for later.
Right. Yeah.
So, Tim has got that disconnected
and that disconnected, and then the wall can come down,
'cause you've pulled all the other lines.
Okay, so we're good.
We're good.
Hold on.
Heads up, everybody.
There we go. Now give me one sec.
Nice.
I know. The wall is gone.
AMY: Well-done, man.
JIM: Look at that view.
I know. That's exactly what they wanted.
I know.
Let's kill that, man.
The wall's down.
We're about 15 minutes ahead of schedule, which is great.
No huge surprises with the wall, other than
a little more electrical than we thought there'd be.
But otherwise, everything's going well.
Now it's a matter of cleaning
and getting these final few cabinets out of here
before we can bring in the paint.
There we go.
Let's go.
Oh, just flip it. Ready?
Right behind you guys.
Okay.
ANDY: How are we doing on schedule?
I like it.
Wow. These are going here to here, so that's actually fine.
Okay. Let's go.
I'm anxious to get this first one in.
[ Drill whirring ]
I did find one little problem.
We got to raise this floor a half-inch right here.
Okay.
Build that up.
The vinyl floor is not actually stuck on well,
and there's a bunch of places that got wet.
We want to make sure we just get everything up
and give it a chance to dry.
It's not stuck anyway,
so it's gonna be an unstable subsurface, so get rid of it.
What's happening?
They just ordered.
I need you to stall their food.
Okay.
You're just centering between these windows?
Yeah.
What's the take here?
2'4 1/2".
Now, out of curiosity, is that leveled?
What do you think?
Oh, it's down. Yeah.
The question is, do you go level, which they did,
or do you go true to the ceiling,
which is crooked, but visually looks level?
I think the ceiling goes away if the bottom is aligned.
Okay.
ANDY: 20 1/2.
So, Deryk and Heather just made it into the restaurant.
[ Ringtone plays ]
How are they?
They are at the restaurant, and they just got their first drink.
They look really relaxed,
so you guys just keep doing what you're doing.
Well, they're having so much fun,
I hope they take a really long time to eat.
Okay. Bye, Amy.
JIM: I'm drying them out real fast.
We got an hour and 15 minutes to get all the cabinets in.
After they're finished up on the other side,
they can go to the fireplace?
WOMAN: Yeah. You're good? Yeah. We're gonna do these.
'Cause the stove is sitting literally on top of this.
[ Nail gun fires, drill whirrs ]
All right.
Good.
[ Speaking indistinctly ]
Almost.
Obviously, this is taking a little longer than we had hoped.
Yes.
And if we set this island,
Yes.
We can set the countertop cupboard, and Ed can keep going.
Yes.
So we're gonna step out of order on the cabinets,
Yes. That's fine.
Is there anything that this will conflict
in getting something into the space?
No, right? Good.
Yeah. Okay.
So the next thing going in is the kitchen island.
And where's the plywood that's going on top of that?
They just cut it up and put it on the floor in the kitchen.
[ Laughs ]
KELLI: What?
...where do you want this island?
Centered here.
Be like six inches that way.
Or is it perfect?
Perfect?
I kind of like where it's at, too.
Yeah?
...will you go bring that end over?
Not too much.
Right there. Perfect.
Get some silicone for this, and we'll bring in the countertop.
Great.
All right. You got another set of hands?
JIM: You only drop it once.
We're flush with the front of the countertops.
All right, cool.
[ Drill whirrs ]
That's a mess, isn't it?
Yikes.
The ceiling needs a lot more patching than we thought,
but the paint's looking good.
That's not square at all, so...
[ Ringtone plays ]
What's happening?
They have had an appetizer and one drink,
and they just ordered.
They just ordered. 7:11.
That's really early.
I was hoping they wouldn't put an order in
for at least another 20 minutes.
They actually got here 20 minutes early
and were seated right away.
I need you to stall their food.
Something, anything.
Okay. Got it. I'm on it.
I will call, and I will stall the food. Okay.
Oh, well. It felt good to be ahead for a minute.
[ Dialing ]
Hi. I'm calling to see if Eric is available,
the manager, please.
Is there anything you guys could do
as far as slowing down the delivery of the entrée
or any kind of delay you guys could do?
[ Groans ]
[ Dialing ]
Hi. I'm calling to see if Eric is available,
the manager, please.
Is there anything you guys could do
as far as slowing down the delivery of the entrée
or any kind of delay you guys could do?
Thank you. You're the best.
AMY: It's on. All done.
24 1/4".
ANDY: Tim, Tim, how's the electrical coming right here?
We got a cabinet -- that wall cabinet with a panel.
Once it's all wide-open, we can go.
Yeah, we're good. We're ready to go grab it.
'Cause you got the fridge going back there.
We're gonna have the fridge panel.
Can you grab me that top?
How are we gonna get this up?
We're gonna have to take this panel off. It won't go up.
She'll tip this way. It will.
Okay. We're gonna trust him.
Just don't snap it off in the meantime.
This one has to go almost to the floor.
Yeah, that way.
He's got to go that way. It goes like this.
You're good.
There we go.
We lined up?
Oh, awesome.
That's sweet.
How's it feel?
Ed's got the mud up.
Almost all the cabinetry is in except for our lockers.
We got to tilt it around this door.
Get up higher. Here we go.
Three and five...
[ Sighs ]
[ Drill whirring ]
Hey, Meryl, what's happening?
Main meal has not been delivered yet.
Great. So are you delaying the main meal,
or is it gonna show up anytime?
They are delaying it.
The manager said no problem, like delivering out...
Perfect. That's awesome. Thank you so much.
There. She was happy.
It looks like they just gave them something
to hold them over, to munch on on the side.
It looks really good, so...
I tried using the jigsaw, but it just blew apart back here.
Been taking a quarter-inch off from here to here
so that we're able to actually slide that cabinet
on top of this.
Just so you guys know,
we're a half an hour delayed on the start of the floor,
so we're a little behind at this point.
I think we might be able to pick up time on this floor
if we bust our butts.
I know you're doing that.
Fit.
Push! A little bit more.
We're good. It's all we got. Hey.
Ai, ai, ai!
Think we're okay.
Dinner's no problem, so that's fine.
Like, they're enjoying it.
Okay, so, what I thought was a second hors d'oeuvre
was actually the entrée, so I'm gonna call Amy.
The meal got turned into a couple courses.
They had about three different courses.
So what we thought were appetizers
Yes.
No. Meryl, we need two hours.
They should just be into their food now.
They can't be done eating. That doesn't work.
There has to be more of a delay at the restaurant.
All right, all right. I'll keep in touch.
How can they be done eating at 8:00?
I don't care who it is.
Gotcha.
Do not let them turn that table. We need two hours.
Get them coffees, anything, okay?
I'll call them right now.
Seriously, an hour-long dinner?
Who has an hour-long dinner on a Saturday night?
That's ridiculous.
You got to hold it up, 'cause we got to go flat.
Coming down before we set it. All the way down.
Whoo-hoo! Okay. Beautiful.
That's in one piece.
Love it. Made it here.
Go ahead.
So, the floor is still behind, but the tile,
we're actually 10, 15 minutes ahead of time, so that's good.
Water's shut off, and I got to have water somehow.
[ Ringtone plays ]
I actually have really good news.
My brother called when he was in the bathroom.
They definitely want to watch the hockey game.
They're gonna move over to the bar in the restaurant
and watch the rest of the game here.
I won't be able to see them,
but I'll know that their car's still here.
I love it. Okay, thanks.
You need a hand?
That door is gonna hit that light,
so our options are a blank cover.
We can see if Tim has time to cut a can in,
but I don't know that he does.
AMY: The blank cover we can just pop on right now
and be done with it.
If there's time, we'll have to cut it in.
Are you spraying only that way,
or are you spraying back into the kitchen?
So, are you ready for the dishwasher?
I got it.
No time for it, Ben.
Heads up.
If we can get this sprayed quick...
Okay.
ED: And pull it down.
JIM: We can cover Ben, just let him work.
Dina and I are gonna go outside.
We're gonna try to do something.
MERYL: That's them.
Hey, Meryl.
They have just left the restaurant.
Mom and the kids are playing games back home.
Okay, we need them to stall
at least from the time they get there
for at least half an hour.
Thank you.
Okay, got it. Bye.
Hey, everybody, they've left the restaurant.
They're on the way back to the grandparents to get the kids.
Just FYI. So let's move fast.
No, I want it over.
I feel like you need to come back toward you a little bit.
JIM: Right there. Never felt that before.
Good!
Putting up was easy,
but grouting it is gonna take a little bit of time.
Hey, Tim, that fridge, all that hot?
[ Ringtone plays ]
Hey, Meryl, yeah, I got you.
They are at my mom's house now,
and the kids are playing games.
I am going to let you know
when things start getting restless as far as the games go.
Okay. You're the best.
We probably have 45 minutes of actual work left to do here,
which is not good.
MAN: There's some grouting left.
You guys, we got lights! [ Laughs ]
We still have a third of the floor left to install,
and we've already spent an hour and a half on it.
It is killing us.
There's so many transitions and so much undercutting,
it could take four times longer than we had planned for,
an we do not have that time.
[ Drill whirrs ]
Right about there is actually perfect.
We got the homeowners a little surprise here.
Little celebratory bubbly.
I'm gonna pop that in there. Don't let me forget it.
AMY: In the upper one?
Yeah, two boxes more.
[ Ringtone plays ]
Last call for you, honey.
Into the truck. That's it.
Moving in!
So, you guys, we got about 20 minutes
before we need to be cleared out of here.
Start with the obvious ones.
Like there's an obvious one.
All right, one over here, one there.
I'd wait on the backside of the island.
Last piece of flooring.
Whoo-hoo! You rock.
[ Laughs ]
It's amazing.
[ Laughs ]
Everybody out.
[ Ringtone plays ]
Well, here we go.
Pretty much, you have 15 minutes. That's it.
The water is on.
Check the stove. It works.
What do we want to do about that front-door window
that they can see through?
We're leaving it?
She can see in it,
so she's gonna have a reaction outside the door.
We got it, Amy.
You got it?
Hey, we're just putting a trash bag over.
Craig's bringing the truck back. We got a couple pieces to trim.
We're gonna do it.
MERYL: This is a bit aggressive.
Hold up.
There it is.
It's right here, right?
AMY: Oh, my gosh, I'm so nervous.
[ Door opens ]
Go and push them up.
BOY: How come that light is on? Whoa.
Whoa!
Oh, come here.
HEATHER: What is going on?
Come here and check this out.
What happened?! Deryk, what happened?
Are you sure we're in the same house?
I don't know.
Oh, my gosh.
Deryk, what happened?
This is weird. This is really weird.
[ Laughs ]
Who did this?
Oh, my God, oh, my God!
Welcome home!
Oh, my gosh!
Wow!
I don't know what to say. I'm speechless.
It's so amazing. [ Laughs ]
I totally got to take my shoes off.
Oh, my gosh! [ Laughs ]
I'm in shock.
This man has been working his tail off.
I just don't know how you arranged this.
[ Laughs ]
So, you guys, you went out to dinner,
and you came home to a new kitchen.
This is amazing.
[ Both laugh ]
[ Laughing ] We just left here.
I just don't know how you did this!
Gosh, this is amazing. [ Laughs ] This is amazing.
I walked in, and I saw the floor,
and I thought we were in the wrong house.
Yeah.
We have talked about remodeling forever.
This is more than anything I would have ever dreamed of.
It's got the essence of us. Everything jives.
The colors are perfect.
It's contemporary and clean, but it's way better
than anything we could have ever done.
Yeah, this is amazing. It really is.
Well, there was a lot of people that was part of this project,
and I actually want to introduce you to some of the crew.
Wow!
Amazing.
Hey, guys, nice to meet you.
I'm Jim.
Jim, nice to meet you.
This is Andy. This is Anthony.
Wow!
And it's chilled!
Liking this. [ Laughs ]
Is there by chance a Deryk and Heather in the house?
[ Laughter ]
HEATHER: That's amazing.
Wait, wait, wait! I didn't look at it yet!
Holy crap!
You guys knocked a wall away and painted, too?
I knew that this wall would be gone,
but still to, you know, envision it and to see it --
I can't believe --
Yeah. You can't even believe it's our house.
We've not had company, seriously,
for five years because it's been embarrassing!
Now I'm ready to just light up the phones.
[ Laughter ]
ALL: Cheers.
To your new kitchen.
You guys are amazing.
[ Cheers and applause ]
This was truly dinner and a kitchen.
It's done.
The kids come home from school.
They put their stuff away in the cubbies.
The best part is now we have people over all the time,
and everyone loves it.
Come on in! You guys aren't gonna believe it.
What do you think?!
It doesn't even look like the same house.
Isn't that amazing? Five hours.
Beautiful. I love it.
I cannot believe they pulled this off
while we were out to dinner.
It was amazing. I still can't believe it.
And people that I talk to about it -- they say no way.
Everyone thinks I have the best husband.
I tell them the story about the kitchen,
and they want to see the kitchen and the husband.
[ Laughs ] It was awesome.
