Now, we've nailed our two ribbons on this edge. Now we're going to, I'm going to turn
the block around so that my ribbons are pulled back that way. And we're going to put the
middle ribbon; we're going to attach it to the center on the opposite side. So here these
ends are loose, and they're attached to here, and now we'll put a dab of the craft glue
here, and right in the center. You want to be careful to get the center, because you
don't want, if you if you put it, if it doesn't end up right in the center, then the ribbons
will interfere with each other when you go to play with the toy. And again, use a nail.
Get that right in the center, and make sure it goes in nice and straight. If it starts
to veer off, you can kind of stop; redirect it. This one doesn't want to go in straight,
there, okay. So this is our first piece, with one ribbon attached in the center in the middle,
and the other two ribbons attached on the opposite side, and going in the opposite direction.
Our second piece of wood; we're going to place with the center line marked on the opposite
side. So here, the center line marking was here. Now we're going to flip it over, so
the center line marking is here. Now to attach these ribbons, you sandwich it like this so
you've got your ribbons sticking out like that. Sandwich it like this, and fold over
your two ribbons like that. Now you don't want to make the Jacob's ladder too tight.
If you make it too tight it doesn't flow nicely, so don't pull those ribbons tight. You just
want to loosely attach them there. So I'm going to flip them back this way, put a little
dot of glue on both sides, and then put them back in place, and we'll be nailing those
in place again. And remember; do not pull it so tight. Make sure that it is a little
bit loose, not very loose, but pretty loose. And I'm going to just hold it in place like
this, and put my nails in. Okay, now I have my two nails in here on that ribbon there,
and we'll flip it around like this, and you see the center line. And we're going to just
fold this ribbon over; first we put a dab of glue here, and fold that over just loosely,
not too tight. You can open up the toy, and make sure that it is loose enough. Now, if
it pulls only to this this amount, then you know you've done it too tight. It should open
all the way up very freely, and again, we'll put another nail in.
