Hi, I'm Rebecca Guenther with www.m5a1photography.com and I'm going to discuss with you what it
takes to become a fashion photographer. Now, when you're starting out you obviously need
to build your book up, to do this you should go out and photograph your friends, hopefully,
they are willing to model clothing for you. And, after that you can start going to modeling
agencies or social networking sites and finding models who are willing to test with you. This
will build your portfolio. You want to make sure that in all of your images, you're showing
the clothes the best, and that of course, the models look good and fit into whatever
fashion you want to be photographing. Once your book is built up, you want to approach
clothing lines and fashion magazines and discuss with them possibly working with them and photographing
their clothes, or maybe even using their clothes for one of your own projects. Hopefully, you
continue doing this until you start getting phone calls and you don't have to go out there
anymore. And, you want to make sure that in all of your images, you're always showing
the clothes the best, because that's the point of being a fashion photographer.
