I am so proud to be American. Thank you- gosh- thank you.
Happy Birthday Ronald Reagan!
[obedience]
Well, A special hello to my corporate sponsors at CSPAN.
The health-care status quo is intact and you can thank the teabaggers.
[wild obedience]
I am not an average person.
But I play one on television.
and great to be amongst people as stupid as me.
I paid $5,000 for this joke.
I'm a big supporter of this reaction. I believe in reactionary movements.
I've got lots of funding from libertarian think-tanks and large corporations to foment hate amongst you all.
Across the country, and knowing that this is the reaction
America is ready for fascism. And you will be the foot soldiers.
[wild obedience]
I look forward to attending more angry mobs in the future.
It is so inspiring to see real workers- not politicos-
not intelligent or informed
So easily motivated by empty, rhetorical appeals to nationalism.
There is no left in this country
b/c we've lost the vision of an alternative to capitalism
So some advice for those who still want to change the world
You gotta start with the critique of capitalism
Because lack of a critique is what allows fascists like me to come to power.
The tragedy of Obama's presidency
Will stoke insecurity
raise debt,
and open the floodgates for neo-fascist reaction.
The Left is out of touch. Out of date.
And if this next line is any indication..
... professional wrestlers write my speeches.
[hate-filled obedience]
Populist/fascist movements are mobilizations of disenfranchised sectors of the working class
allied with the petit-bourgeoise and big capital
which appeal to nationalism and fear to get people to act against their own material interests.
[wild obedience]
This is about capital accumulation.
[fervor]
This is about capital and it's bigger than any particular personification of capital.
...but I'd rather have you think about your fear of articulate black men in power.
[war cries, *** chants]
In that spirit we should acknowledge that on Christmas day,
the war on terror continued to fail.
American imperialism generated yet another homicidal, disenfranchised terrorist
with a bomb and he boarded a flight
hell-bent on killing innocent passengers.
Terrorism is a natural product of asymmetrical warfare.
And it will never be possible to destroy terrorism by amplifying the asymmetries.
On Christmas day the only thing that stopped this terrorist
was blind luck... passengers...
..no.. God.
And that will provide an excuse for further extensions of the police state.
[obedience]
What follows will be equally disturbing:
After he was captured he was questioned for only 50 minutes.
We had a choice in how to do this.
We could have pulled out his fingernails and put electric probes on his testicles.
But instead we read him his rights as if this was still a civilized country.
There are many sick, sadistic, violent fantasies we would have like to subject this brown man to
before he "lawyered-up" and evoked OUR US constitutional right to have rights.
[blood-thirst]
That was fun. Let's do it again.
[more blood-thirst]
[and some more...]
Us. Them. Us. Them.Us. Them. Us. Them.Us. Them. Us. Them.Us. Them. Us. Them.Us. Them. Us. Them.
The accumulation of capital that you, sir, were willing to fight and die for
The capital that working people everywhere are asked to fight for.
Did I mention this guy over here?
You wouldn't fight for capital if you weren't afraid of terrorists.
You should give up all your rights in order to defend them.
We have the choice to give up our choices.
But I will tell you what choices to make.
There are questions we would have liked answered before he "lawyered-up"
Like... "How do you win a war on terror?"
We're bragging about the war but "Who's the enemy?"
A lot of people still believe in hope, change and transparency.
Now a year later I gotta ask all those people:
Has your hope been beaten down yet?
[obedience]
And now a brief word from my sponsors...
Us. Them.Us. Them.Us. Them.Us. Them.Us. Them.
[cheers for oil]
In 2008... I had the honor
really of a lifetime, the honor of a lifetime
throwing the election for the Democrats
so that we could blame it all on a black guy,
and then start a populist revolt
deceived by the things we are talking about here tonight:
regressive taxes,
the free reign of capital,
stupidity,
big oil,
and the military-industrial complex
And now that a black man has inherited this crisis of capital
we can divert attention away from capitalism and onto Obama.
Displaced voters are eager for reaction.
violence,
nationalist rhetoric,
without questioning,
Each of us who is here today are living proof that
you don't need an office or a title
to fall in line.
But you will need $550.
We are all sheep looking for easy answers
to progress this movement.
[sheep sounds]
blghasdf... asfooihasdf...asfoijsdf
Obama violates the constitution.
We will stand up and we will be counted
We are the loyal opposition.
[loyalty- but not sheepish loyalty...]
And we have a vision for the future of our country too
anchored in time-tested ideology:
That attacking "big government" diverts attention from big capital,
That appeals to the constitution are the best way to incite mob violence and get people to give up their rights.
[obedience]
And that only by blaming big government can we find a scapegoat for what is clearly a crisis of capitalism.
And that bourgeois freedoms are God-given rights that can motivate people to do horrible things to other people in war.
Did I mention this guy over here? Did I mention God yet?
[wild obedience]
America's finest:
the workers who die for capital and the state
have committed more atrocities than we could ever apologize for.
[mob]
[more mob]
We are now the keepers of a long tradition of reactionary politics
and good works??? (what the hell does that mean?)
And we must never forget that believing crazy-***, pathological things requires religious thinking.
It demands willful ignorance
and requires, angry, rhetorical, misinformed ranting.
People who still believe in thinking
know that we are bat-*** crazy.
They want us to make informed opinions,
and know our history.
The best of America
can be found in places where patriots
are ignorant enough
and vulnerable enough
to be get behind frightening political agendas.
And where people still believe capitalism is about small businesses,
and like Reagan we still know that America can be a shining beacon of inequality
I do believe in Manifest Destiny.
We know that the depression is just beginning,
Teabagger nationalists
We know that there is NOTHING wrong with America
that can't be solved by markets and ideology.
So from the bottom of my bank
And speaking on behalf of millions of Americans decimated by the crisis of capitalism...
This movement is about preying on people.
You can't argue with me because I used the word "people".
Remember all political power is inherent in the social relations of society.
Men make their history, but not as they please.
This movement is about the antagonisms of that social relation.
[riotous obedience]
From the bottom of my heart I thank you for being such suckers.
God Bless you Tea Baggers.
And God Bless the capitalist state. Thank You.
