Hello survivors! Welcome to DayZ Tutorials! My name is Kindred and in this
video I'll show you some of the best ways to make friends in the game
and also a few things to avoid. DayZ is a game that is
unforgiving in the way it punishes your mistakes and at the same time one that
makes you work hard for rewards.
One of the best ways to increase your survival rate is to play with a buddy.
If you're anything like me then the first thing that came to your mind was
to approach people you see in the game.
Sooner or later you'll surely find someone to be your friend right?
I'm sure it would work eventually, but if you want to speed things up
and avoid some unnecessary deaths, kidnappings and other disturbing
experiences along the way
then best choose a different option. What works best
is getting one of your real life friends or relatives to play.
This way you'll have a game buddy you can trust and you don't need to worry
about betrayal.
You might have to sell the idea to them to convince them to play with you.
Tell them what an amazing game DayZ and how much fun they could have playing it.
And show them some of my videos. ;) If it doesn't work and you have nobody else to
try move on to the next best thing.
A fast and very efficient way to find somebody to roam the wastelands of Chernarus
with is that the DayZ forums.
There's an entire section of the forum dedicated to clan recruitment
and to people who are looking for a game buddy. I've put the link
to the forums in the video description for you - right below the subscription link.
OK? It's right below the subscription link.
When you arrive at the forums have a look at the various threads there.
There's a good chance someone is looking for a player just like you.
If you don't see a thread that seems like your kind of thing
then try the search function. Just enter a few key words and hit Search.
You'll get plenty of results to choose from. If you still feel none of the
threads are for you
you can start a new thread. To make sure you only get responses from survivors
are compatible with you and your style of play provide as much information as
possible.
What time zone do you play in? Are you looking for a late-night players or
early birds?
Friendly or how do I put it... open-minded?
If age is an issue for you then mention it in your post.
Are you looking for casual gamers or someone who spends more time in Chernarus
than in the real world?
A group or an individual? Hardcore or regular server?
Experimental branch or stable? Making friends is great but keep in mind that
at the end of day it's only strangers on the internet so be careful about
disclosing any personal information.

watching and see you next time.
