This is Bill Macpherson for Expert Village in this clip I'm going to show you how to
import a photoshop text layer so let's go to our file menu, import, import to stage
again choose the photoshop file. As you can see here we have a text layer now that's selected
you can see you have different options here you can import this layer here as editable
text, vector outlines, or you can flattened bitmap image. Now we're going to choose editable
text if you wanted to I can also create a movie clip for this layer just by clicking
here. Give it a name but we're not going to do that we're just going to choose it as a
text layer, hit okay. Now you can see if brought in a text layer again it's setup in a timeline
our folder and a layer, now if you go to library you can see there's nothing there. That's
because it's just text inside a flash now if you choose your text tool of course you
can edit this if you wanted to. Or if you wanted to you could just like anything you
can choose it and convert it to a symbol so you can make it a button, a movie or a graphic
symbol. In the next clip I'm going to show you how to import the entire photoshop file
into flash with all it's groups and layers.
