So what comes with your embroidery machine for designs? Find the book in your box that
says Designer Topaz Sampler. These are the built-in designs that come on your usb stick.
First off, the number up in the corner is the number you're looking for on your screen.
For example, let's go ahead and pick out design number 8. That's a big design. By the way,
these are actual size. These are your templates. You can see by their little marks how big
they're going to be. You can kind of get an idea. Will that fit on my project? Yes or
no. Is that too big? That's what we're going to look at. You also have the color information,
the size, how many stitches. If you're doing something that's got more colors, that will
show over here on the side.
In the back there is a CD. This is the backup for these designs for your stick. If you accidentally
erase your usb stick that comes with it, you can load that back up. That's nice to have
there. You also have these alphabets stored in the machine. The same alphabet but in 30
mm, those are actual size also, 20 mm, and 12 mm. Now, we will go in to how you use the
quick font option in the free download-able software that you can get from husqvarnaviking.com.
That allows you to have all the rest of the alphabets and how to bring them over to the
usb stick.
You've got a lot of great designs in here, a little of everything for everybody's wants
and needs. Some are actually appliqués so that will indicate by the little universal
symbol of what appliqué means. You'll find those information parts up here in the front
and then doing some will guide ... oh those are fun. I love appliqué. Then I don't have
to wait for the snowman to totally fill in. That can just be a fun piece of white fabric
for his body. I love those. There's cut work. There's quilting designs. I love the flowers.
You can have a lot of fun with those.
We were going to stitch number 8. On your usb stick, they're folders. They're divided
into Designer Topaz numbers 1-7. To get to number 8, we're going to need to arrow down
to get to folder that has 8-17 designs and touch OK. When we go into here, we'll also
have a list, each individual design is numbered. Since 8 is the first one, we'll touch OK.
Then it will bring us right into position for the very first stitch. Now, we'll take
you into what the screen means, what hoops we need to have on, and how to go in and move
things around.
