Kate: Getting your kids hooked on reusable bottles is one of the healthiest habits that
you can instill in them. The reason is because not only is that going to encourage them to
drink water and have a love of water, but it's going to also reduce waste, help make
their diet more sustainable, preserve the planet for them to grow up in.
Doug: We know that if an athlete is hydrated during intense exercise in the heat, they
stay cooler. One of our main objectives with athletes, especially with youth athletes that
we're responsible for their safety, is to try to keep them cooler and keep them hydrated.
Hydration is an easy way to keep them safer during activity.
Kate: I think the big key for a lot of families and people, is to figure out just how they
work water into their day. How do you make water a no-brainer part of your routine? Whether
it's when your child gets home from school, serve them a glass of water with their snack,
at sports practices. Get your kids familiar into the habit of filling up their water bottle
themselves.
