We've got an animation special for you today.
Featuring slidey boxes,
star crossed lovers,
stripy drummers,
and bullish fighters.
You'll find links to everything featured on the show in full down below
and while you're there why not subscribe to take in The Take Out every week?
We're featuring animation on the show today
so even though this film isn't coming out until September
we've decided to share this excellent teaser trailer with you now.
Boxtrolls tells the story of a boy called Eggs
who goes to live with a community of stinky rubbish collecting troll characters
made of cardboard boxes.
This film is obviously going to be a smash hit
so I've drawn up plans for Boxtroll world.
Located at my local landfill site
I shall great visitors at the entrance in character
and then push them down a slide into the rubbish heap.
All this waste disposal fun for the whole family
at the low low price of fifty dollars!
The next time you need to audition a drummer for your band
of musically gifted tapirs
you might might want to try the methodical and slightly sinister approach featured in this video.
It's compelling, it's quirky, it can't be explained...
oooh - it's Dutch!
On with the animation now
and up next a funny and brilliantly tragic short film by Kristian Andrews
Lets Play Nomad X is a video game play-through which becomes much more then that.
As the narrator starts talking about his relationship breakdown.
'Excuse me, yeah you're gonna have to excuse my voice on this one guys,
yesterday Karina's new husband punched me in the throat.
I don't think Karina took our engagement that seriously to be honest.
To start with I didn't have a ring so just had to use a space invader crisp'.
You may have come for tips on game play,
but you're going to learn a little lesson in love too,
beacuse who knows when it could be you getting punched in the throat.
We opened with stop motion and we're are also going to stop with...
stop motion...
...end with it.
Colourblind is the wooden stop motion video for alternative rock band Elliot The Bull,
made by Australian creatives Oh Yeah Wow.
Poor black robot guy.
We've all had those mornings where everything we touch turns to little wooden blocks, right?
That's all for this week
I'll be back next Thursday and in the meantime links to everything in this show are below.

or I shall wallpaper your house in creepy fan art.
