Final Fantasy 8 comes to Steam, Battlefield 4 expansion packs get put on pause, a new
trailer for TESO, all that and more coming up on the Curse Weekly Roundup, brought to
you this week by Origin.
Hey guys I'm Jess, and yeah you just heard me call it TESO - is that a thing? Do you
guys do that? I figure if we can say SWTOR, we can definitely abbreviate The Elder Scrolls
Online to TESO - executive decision, done. Anyway, TESO now has a new character progression
trailer - click the link in the description to watch it for yourself and find out the
progression systems will work!
New screenshots from The Evil Within have surfaced. Oh good, because when I woke up
this morning I said "I think I'll get dressed, go into work, and have the *** scared out
of me." Now, I think the screenshots look *** amazing, but - surprise, surprise,
the internet disagrees. What do you guys think? Leave me a comment with your thoughts on the
screenshots.
EA has put expansions for Battlefield 4 on hold in order to "sort out all the issues."
The company issued a statement thanking fans for their support - they are aware of the
game crashes on the PS4 and Xbox One, and are working non-stop to remedy these problems.
Or if you're more of a PC gamer and you haven't picked up Battlefield 4 yet, you can do so
right now on Origin - pick it up and try it out commitment free, cause remember Origin
has what they call a Great Game Guarantee. You can get a full refund on any digital game
purchase as long as it's within 24 hours from when you first launched it, within 7 days
if you never ended up playing it, or within the first 7 days after the game's release
if you preordered. No stress, what have you got to lose?
In other PC gaming news, Final Fantasy 8 has launched on Steam - now you can watch Rinoa
awkwardly dragging a reluctant and clumsy Squall around the dance floor and get imaginary
internet points for doing it! THey've added 45 Steam achievements, as well as the Chocobo
World mini-game that you used to have to have a PocketStation to play (raise your hands
if you guys had one, I did!), and a new Magic Booster feature that increases your inventory
of certain spells by 100 when used. So now let's finally settle the age-old debate since
both games are on Steam: which is better, Final Fantasy VII or VIII? Leave me a comment
below with which one you like better.
I hope you guys like Steam cause ANOTHER game just came out too - Starbound! This indie
sandbox crafting game is technically still in beta, and it's been compared most heavily
to Terraria, but in space. Go check it out on Steam, and be sure to use the Starbound
wiki by visiting Starbound.gamepedia.com for info on tools weapons, armor, and more.
And speaking of Wikis, Curse and Gamepedia are now the home of the official Wikis for
three new games: Bloom, Castle Story, and Neptune's Pride 2. Click the links in the
description to be taken to each game's Official Wiki to read more about the games and their
features!
That's it for this week, but as always be sure to subscribe if you haven't already!
