Hello welcome to my very first video. Today we are going to make single cup drink holders.
It's just for those single coffee machines. And you're just going to pop the K-cup in
to give as a Christmas gift -- maybe a stocking stuffer .. whatever you like. A gift for any
time of year.
What you are going to need is a piece of cardstock, that's 11" x 6". On the 11" side: score it
at 1/2", 2-1/2", 4-1/2", and 6-1/2". On the short 6" side: score it at 2" and at 4".
On the side that you scored at 1/2" you need to cut out the two edge pieces, and at the
other end from the 6-1/2" to 11" spot you need to cut out those two edge pieces. You
can use your scissors for that. And it will look like this when you're done.
The next thing you can do is take your 1-3/4" circle punch and fit it into your cardstock
where that little tab is right to the end of your circle punch -- where it stops. And
then check at the edges to see if it's centered over the two lines (scored). Once you're sure
you've got it pretty much centered -- punch it out. There's your circle where you're little
drink cup will go.
When you fold this up, All the score marks are folding lines. Fold them all in. It will
fold up into a little box -- I did forget something -- You have to cut these score lines
here. Two lines in the middle on each side. When you fold you'll be able to glue the flaps
together. That makes it a little easier and more sense. As you fold it in, it will look
like this. The little flap part -- fold down over top and then this long back piece fold
at the score line and glue together. Use any kind of adhesive you like: snail, glue dots,
sticky strip -- whatever is your favourite.
This edge is made from the decorative label punch. You create the edge by fitting the
long piece through the hole of the punch. Do this before you have glued the long flap
to the shortest flap. Just stick it into the punch a little ways -- into the groove.
To decorate the box, find some designer series paper you like and cut 5 -- one and three
quarter inch squares. Glue them on to each side and the bottom.
The festive flurry (snowflake set) to make the snowflake accent. I used the framelits that
fit the stamp set exactly. I already stamped the snowflake I want to use. I am going to show you how to use the framelit.
Place the framelit over the snowflake. It is symmetrical so fits very easily. Use tab
2 on the platform, 2 cutting plates - one underneath and one on top of the snowflake.
Press it down firmly. As you push it into the BigShot, the handle starts to move. That
is how you know it is ready to go through. Turn the handle. And then it just pops out. The
snowflake is already to go.You can put anything there you want.
Stamp your sentiment and punch out with the curly label punch. I used it again to add
an accent of bermuda bay. You need to cut the bermuda bay piece in half. Simply glue the pieces behind the sentiment piece.
It gives a neat frame.
I used 14 inch piece of bermuda bay one eighth inch taffeta ribbon and I wrapped it around
the box. I actually did add glue runner to help make it stick. Tie a knot and cut off
any excess.
It is done! That is all there is to it. Quite simple. You can make quite a few of them.
I hope you enjoyed the video. Thank you for making it through my first video. If you want
