How we implement new features? In another words,
How do we make the best motherboard for you
I would like to introduce you the people, the hero
of our new Classic, Gaming and Overclocking motherboards.
Hey Joe, you are the lead engineer of the new Z87 XPOWER.
Now the XPOWER is set for extreme overclocking.
Can you tell me like
Which specific extreme feature you put on the XPOWER?
MSI creates Z87 XPOWER adopts with 32 Phase power
the highest power phase than ever.
MSI hardware department has to face on PCB layout, space,
power balance with digital PWM controller.
We found that not only increase PCB layers
but must need a whole new layout.
MSI Z87 XPOWER features with 8 layers PCB and power line
within independent layers to provide best power balance.
Another challenge is 4-Way SLI.
We know that there are 4 different graphics card usage scenarios
but all PCI-E lanes will go through PLX chip even you just
install one card on a traditional design board.
Z87 XPOWER features with a different layout to avoid this situation.
Users install single card into PCI-E slot 2 which lanes connect to
CPU directly for the best performance; built multi GPU in PCI-E slot 1/3/5/7.
Hi Jayson, when we introduced Z77 MPOWER,
we introduced new ideas and technologies.
Can you tell me what you learned on the Z77 MPOWER
that you implemented on the Z87 MPOWER?
The hardware department has had a great success from Z77 MPOWER features
with very good memory overclocking potential and great compliance.
We implemented not only the latest T-Topology layout
but also co-work extreme overclockers
MSI's 8-series motherboards support over
3000MHz super high speed DDR3 memory!

Hey Irene, software is really important
to drive the feature of motherboard.
Can you tell us a bit more about
what we improve on our new command center software?
MSI software team develops new tuning utility
for 8-series motherboards - Command Center
it's not only features with new fancy and friendly interface,
but also implements RAMDisk and remote control function.
End users could monitoring and adjust fan speed,
voltages in one application now.
In addition, we co-develop a super lite but functional tool
with extreme overclockers – Command Center Lite.
It features with so lite loading that
without decreasing benchmark's goal
and It supports over 10 adjustable items which auto-sync with BIOS,
and it also contains profile saving in the simply interface.
I think it is a great, easy tool for Ocer.
Hey Reed, the previous generation of Click BIOS
got a lot of positive feedback from our customers.
Can you tell us a bit more about how Click BIOS 4
bring our user experience to the next level?
MSI understands that end users need a friendly interface at UEFI BIOS,
especially installed works. So the BIOS team creates not only
the world's first graphical Hardware Monitor under UEFI BIOS
but also visual representation of connection with the motherboard
Board Explorer
These two brand new features
are the most amazing function of our Click BIOS 4.
I can see a lot of new graphical feature of Click BIOS 4.
Can you tell me a bit more about them?
The Hardware Monitor allows you to take control of your system
through Total Fan control and check your primary system status
in an easy graphical interface
Board Explorer shows the user a visual representation
of all the connectors of the motherboard
and displays which devices are connected.
In case of a device having a bad connection
you can easily trace it with board explorer.
Hey Stanley! While we introduce OC Certified,
it's already clear that it's not an average test.
Why do you put our motherboard in such cruel testing procedure?
MTC department did lots of research and co-work with R&D,
with the Enhanced PWM and Thermal Design that give you
the best stability to all the easy features that ensure you
don't have to perform a lot of tricks to get great stability
in your quest for performance.
If an XPOWER motherboard can survive this cruel testing,
it can survive any overclocking situation.
Hey Devine, I think our new overclocking, gaming motherboard
are big changed from our previous black and blue models.
It shows as soon as you see the color box.
It gets me really excited for this new generation.
How do you and marketing team redefine our new motherboard vision?
MSI wants to bring a whole new image to end users.
MSI overclocking motherboards deliver high elegance products.
Marketing department implement matte-black PCB
into overclocking motherboards, but also change
heatsink and packing design.
Now you can see same visual and same color scheme
on MSI overclocking motherboards, all of them are black and yellow.
and there is an X symbol on Z87 XPOWER motherboard and color box.
In addition, MSI improved packing material and coating,
which is much stronger and shining than traditional ones.
We believe that MSI new 8-series overclocking motherboards
give users a brand new experience!

Let's go to the factory where it actually made.
Quality and introducing leading-edge technology is always our
primary goal to satisfy our customers.
In order to deliver INTEL 8-series with excellent quality,
we have invested lots of Lab equipment including
incoming quality inspections, on-site failure analysis,
out-going quality assurance to reliability testing.
We also worked with our equipment vendor to customize the
in-line vapor phase reflow machine for our high-end motherboards.
This machine is normally using to manufacture product
like mainframe computer and the satellites products.
Flying probe testing machine is for high mixed production processes,
in order to comply with the 100% broad testing
for the high complexity products.
Even, we used in-line board clearing processes
for our unique product needs to deal with harsh environment.
MSI 8-series motherboards undergo a strict quality testing procedure.
We burn-in overclocked system with a 24 hour Prime95 stress test,
in which the CPU is overclocked 30% higher.
This is something never seen before
and MSI has set a new standard in the industry.
MSI believes that OC Certified accurately simulates the daily use of
an overclocked system and this makes sure each motherboard
passed OC Certified is the best choice for all our users.
MSI's 8-series motherboards use a lot of new components,
which feature extreme high quality and reliability.
Before being certified, these core components have to
pass a lot of stress tests, including thermal,
temperature shock, and vibration tests.
This allows us to make sure each component works properly
in the most demanding environments, like extreme Overclocking.
Providing top quality and stability for users.
MSI's MFG RD team is still work on the best MFG technology
and process to produce the excellent and powerful product
for our honor customer like you.
