Okay hello I'm going to show you how to convert A Word document into a Google document and
then How to embed that Google document into a Google
Site So here is an essay from one of my classes
and I'm going to upload this essay into Google
Docs So I'll go up here I have my Google Docs account
already open Over on the left hand side you see this arrow
button right here You're going to want to click on it and then
click on files And you're going to want to search for the
File that you want to upload Here it
is and you'll notice here it says conversion on
Under settings you can click on convert uploaded files
To Google docs format and it's nice to have that on
Because it keeps the formatting easy to work with as
Far as the Google docs stuff goes So you'll see over here it already says converted
I've uploaded documents before and it's already On which is why it automatically converts
them for me So I'm going to close this out here and open
this up To make sure that everything uploaded correctly
and it did So we're going to close this and open up Google
sites I already have a new page open so what I'm
going to do is Click on insert and then come down here to
documents And click on my Google document over here
and then select Okay and it's going to stay gray like this
while you're Still in the formatting mode but once you
click save You'll see that you document is now embedded
in Your Google site
Thank you
