My name is Barbara Esses and I do events for a living. I'm Ruthie Hecht. I'm an event planner
and I work with and for my mother. We're going to teach you the do's and dont's for the perfect
wedding. So where do you find your perfect wedding dress? Look through magazines. See
which designers you like. Look online on their websites and they'll usually tell you which
stores to go to. Of course you can start at the local department or wedding stores, but
there are endless options and it might be nice to start off with a little bit of guidance.
The only place to buy a wedding dress is really in a wedding shop. In case you don't, you
can also buy them online. There are great websites where women sell their old dresses.
Just becareful. If you have to do alterations, you'll have to do it on your own, and if there
are any mess ups you're stuck with the dress. You can always go to your local dressmaker
and have them knock off a designer wedding dress. Just be sure it will not turn out to
be exactly the same but you could still feel like a million dollars in that knock off dress.
Don't think that you'll have to copy it exactly. Make sure to take those few great elements
and incorporate them into your own style. So you can find wedding dresses at wedding
dress stores, consignment shops, online, or at your local dressmaker.
